Automatic Album Art

Hi all,

first time poster, long time browser.

so ive decided to start using foobar as my default player and have one question. I have added Columns UI as well as the Album Art panel and i also installed Album Art Downloader. But what i would like to know is if its possible to open foobar, double click a song and then it find album art automatically. Kinda in the same way WMP finds album art.

Ive done an extensive search but didnt find any conclusive answers. I find using Album Art Downloader is ok but a little slow as i would like it all to happen in the background without having to go through and save the individual covers to their respective album folders.

my dir setup is as follows

X:\Music\Artist\Album\

Thanks

foo_discogs could do this.
Here to download: http://www.hydrogenaudio.org/forums/index....showtopic=50523
Here the manual: http://eolindel.free.fr/foobar0.9/discogs.php

thanks for the help but am i right in saying this still involves the user to right click and get album art, tags etc? if not then and this will do what i would like then show me how, lol.

Im curious if such a script, component exists that will download art from an internet db while the song is playing, i.e. i play the song and the art will "magically" appear in the album art panel very much similar to the way you can play a song in WMP and within a few seconds to a minute it will source album art for the playing track.

thx again

I'd like to join you in this request. It's a feature that i've been waiting for a long time. So far I couldn't find any solution to this.
It seems that if the %album% tag or atleast %artist% tag exists this shouldn't be a problem. Maybe someone would write a component?

Me too!

I've heard that the foo_lastfm_radio can automatically download and show albumart from Last.fm in the default CUI panel.

Sad... i've never got it working

I am using Jaikoz for all kind of tagging. Uses Musicbrainz and discoggs. Works very good!

It seem nice, but I can't find any way for it to tag from Discogs...?
Can't wait for a HD-AAC encoder :P

Me either. Nothing on the site says anything about Discogs either, only MusicBrainz.

The documentation mentions Discogs tags... that's all!

It would be great if it could find the Discogs ID automatically.... Combined with the update feature of foo_discogs, I could update all my albums at once, instead of spending too much time on every album.
