Critical playback error: could not create AudioOutput object

Critical playback error: could not create AudioOutput object
These FLAC files will not play for me.

I have tried backing it up to 1.2.30 but I got the same result.
The files will play in VLC.  I'm uneducated in most of this.  Any ideas would be appreciated

Try, on Tools, Advanced, to toggle the 'use OpenSL audio output'...
