I've been encoding with LAME 3.99 for years, and just noticed that the current version is LAME 3.100. Is the new version better in terms of encoded audio quality, or the same as 3.99? If the same, is there another benefit in updating?

Hey there,

You can read the thread on it here (https://hydrogenaud.io/index.php/topic,114777.0.html). Replies #4 and #5 seem to think not, quality wise.

(By the way, this topic has nothing to do with foobar2000, should be in MP3 section)
