How to RIP DVD using StaxRip?

Greetings,

I have installed StaxRip, like it's fetures, however didnot found how to open a Video DVD into it, is it possible? If not is there any alternative capable ripping DVD and converting to H264/AAC?

For unencrypted (or decrypted) DVDs, try Handbrake.

Thanks. Anyhow I'd like to hear if (and how) is it possible to open a DVD disc in StaxRip.

 I'd never even heard of StaxRip...  But there are links to a few "guides" at staxmedia.sourceforge.net[/u].

It does say, "With StaxRip you can easily convert your DVD's..."    I took a very-quick look at one of the guides, and it looks like you might have to feed StaxRip the individual VOB files (from your DVD's VIDEO_TS folder).

The StaxRip main project page has a "support" link to a Doom9.org forum[/color].
