Would it also be possible to export in such a way data about THE NEXT track in a queue? I would need this to announce what is playing next while the current track is still playing.
I think I know how to do it.

  • same file, or different file?
  • first n entries from the playback queue, OR, if queue is empty, first n entries after the current one in the playlist, if the playback order is "Default"?

Yup, thanks Football & Case for the help, no more problem now.
Especially Case, "If you use Firefox, settings page has Applications near the bottom. You can fully customize all file formats and what to do with them. You'll probably want to change all your audio file formats to "Save file". "

Many thanks!

A weirdness or two, though. (Got 1.4.3 on this computer and replicated with that.)
This is only on the sine waves, right?

Also, with -b48000 - so the blocks "nearly repeat", but not exactly - the predictor coefficients do vary quite a lot between the frames. However as a sine should be perfectly replicable with order = 2 - presuming sufficient precision, which I am too lazy to check out - there would be a whole lot of different predictor vectors that would make for equally good prediction.
Analyzing a sine wave in the LPC stage gets one step near a singularity (or somesuch, I'm not too familiar with the terminology) and round-off errors get a tremendous influence. That is why optimizing for sine waves doesn't work, why the differences between 1.3.4 and 1.4.3 are so large and why I don't think it is a good idea to spend too much time on this.

Assuming you use Google Chrome, you can right click the downloaded file in the Downloads-popup list and untick the "Always open files of this type". Or you can go to settings, Downloads and click "Clear" next to "Open certain file types automatically after downloading" to remove the configuration from all file formats at once.

If you use Firefox, settings page has Applications near the bottom. You can fully customize all file formats and what to do with them. You'll probably want to change all your audio file formats to "Save file".

By default, your web browser is configured to open any files it downloads in the app Windows has associated with that file type.  You can either alter the browser settings so that files are not opened automatically (which will affect all types of files you download), or you can disassociate .mp3 (or whatever) from being played when double-clicked (which is inconvenient).

I am not sure you can set the browser to open some file types but not others, but that might depend which browser it is.  I prefer to have the browser not open any downloads automatically, because that is also safer.

Good day guys,

OS: Windows 11 Home, Version 22H2
Foobar 2000, Version 2.0 (x64)

I had a problem as describe as below:
Once the new download finished music, it will trigger off the Foobar to play it automatically, it's quite annoying, so do you guys have any suggestion to deactivate it? Many thanks!
