Can't start using Foobar Controller, please assist in installation process.

OS: Windows 7 x64 ESU
Player: Foobar 2.24 x64
Firewall is turned off.

PC side soft:

PC Foobar settings are on screenshot.

When trying to connect from Android device Foobar console on PC shows following:

foo_httpcontrol: [ 29.11 15:39:00 ] 192.168.1.175 	/foobar2000controller/?cmd=FormatTitles  	: Dalvik/2.1.0 (Linux; U; Android 13; PGEM10 Build/TP1A.220905.001)

But authentication doesn't happen, tried w/o user and password, same thing.

Foobar web templates are here:

Seems like you've restricted access to the IP the server is running on?? How can any other device connect?  ;D

Also you are mixing software.
Install only 2 things. The component and the APK.

If you install "PC side soft", it overrides the component. It's not needed at all. That software installs its own version of the component, with some extra features (in a period where this component was not being updated).

I updated the component some months ago to support foobar controller extra features and thus merge both releases, no need for their software anymore.

Thanks, i have done stupid things. Removed restrictions and set address to 0.0.0.0.

Thanks for links and instructions, but it looks like apk is damaged.
It must be downloaded but hiting RAW not just RMB and save!

Click Start server. The browser will start. This completes the foobar side settings.

First of all thanks for helping me out guys!

Ok, i reinstalled from scratch.

Here is my current PC settings, see screenshot.
Android app installed.

When i am starting server:
Code: [Select]
http://192.168.1.240:8888/

I see this:

Installed templates:foobar2000controller [config not found]

Config files placed here:

Code: [Select]
C:\Users\User\AppData\Roaming\foobar2000-v2\foo_httpcontrol_data\foobar2000controller


When trying to connect from Android wizard on PC i get following in console:

foo_httpcontrol error: couldn't load C:\Users\User\AppData\Roaming\foobar2000-v2\foo_httpcontrol_data\foobar2000controller\config

Code: [Select]

UPD! I saved all the files from Github via RMB , and it looks like they are filled with crap.

The lesson was: not save files from GitHub in a non-Raw format.
Now everything works just fine, thanks to you!  I'll do a quick note on my website in a while just to memorize the procedure.

+ download and install Foobar2000, latest version 2.24 is working fine
+ download and install into Foobar by double clicking HttpControl component //download via download Raw file button
+ download these configuration files //download via download Raw file button
+ place them to
Code: [Select]
%APPDATA%\foobar2000-v2\foo_httpcontrol_data\foobar2000controller
+ launch Foobar and setup appropriate settings in [see screenshot]:
Code: [Select]
File > Preferences > Tools > HTTP Control

Http server should be accessible by means of [my settings for example]:
Code: [Select]
http://192.168.1.240:8888/

And if everything is correctly installed you should see on web page something like:
Code: [Select]
Installed templates: foobar2000controller

If so, we have the right to move on.

+ download and install Android part of software //download via download Raw file button
+ In Android greeting wizard you need to replicate your IP desktop address of machine where Foobar is installed,
    enter the same port number and you are good to go

If for some reason nothing happening, try to disable your firewall or router filtering capabilities just for a time of testing.

If you don’t want to download ALL files by pressing download Raw file button million of times and you have Git installed you can clone whole repository like this:

git clone https://github.com/regorxxx/foobar2000-assets.git

And then select all needed files that were mentioned here previously.
