CLI player with pitch control and reverse ?

Hi,

I found Alsaplayer which does exactly what I want. But development seems to have stalled. It's buggy and crashes. Not fit for professional performances until development is picked up again  :'(  So are there any alternatives ? Forks ?  8)

I'm developing an integrated CLI DJ'ing environment. I find the command line to be absolutely Zen like compared to the flashing lights and distractions of a full DJ application.  :)
