Embedded cuesheet: advantages / disadvantages

Hi there!

I'm organizing a vast collection of audio files and I've come across many CD images (.flac) that have .cue file embedded in them while others don't.

What are the advantages of .flac images with .cue files embedded in them and what are the disadvantages? Which one should I keep?

I use foobar2000 and I know how to add and remove .cue files from .flac images.
