Beta 10:
Selecting several files in Directory Opus and hitting Enter briefly shows them in the playlist one by one, and only retains the very last file and start playing it.

1.6.12 - works fine - selecting several files in Directory Opus and hitting Enter shows them all in foobar2000 and starts playing the very first one.

If instead of hitting Enter - right clicking and selecting "Open in foobar2000" in the context menu - works fine in beta 10 - shows them all in foobar2000 and starts playing the very first one.

Hi,

Please give more details including:

- version of foobar2000
- 32-bit or 64-bit
- size of media library
- whether any third-party panels in use

I'd suggest starting from a new portable installation and then working out what causes the slow start-up as you configure it.

Sorry musicmusic.

foobar2000 v2.0 beta 10 64-bit
Media Library: 102,633 items
and The image display of Playlist View is also slow.

v2.0 beta 32 bit and Default UI are no problem.

Folks: 4.1 is not easy it seems - is there any straightforward way to script the following with ffmpeg or otherwise:
FOR all *.mlp files do:
* check the channel allocation
* if channel allocation is 4.1, make it 5.1 with a silent FC
?

@wojak , do you have ffmpeg in there? ffmpeg can convert from MLP:

ffmpeg -i infile outfile.wv

Do those behave any different?

If you want to keep them as WavPack, then recompress later with official WavPack (then you get the WavPack 5 file format too), but for now it is just for debugging.

Thank you for the x64 version that I'm setting up now. This is really appreciated!
No problem :)

Is there a way to have the background a solid black instead of the Windows system dark grey?
The playlist view etc. background colour can be configured in preferences in the normal way. But if you mean the toolbars etc. background colour, that is not configurable.

I adjusted the monitor that shows Foobar to have a truer black level and it looks great. Thanks again!

I use dvd-a input to play MLP but I decided to convert all my MLPs to flac. I convert MLP to flac using foobar converter and flac 1.4.1 from xiph.
I did not add --channel-map=none just to show you the error message. I used it earlier - the files were converted but played wrongly.

One more time: your mlp files are encoded to FLAC by fb2k incorrectly because it is foo_input_dvda that outputs wrong channels layout, not because of --channel-map=none
I have just written that I re ripped my DVD-a disc using two different programs to do it. I ripped the disc directly to wav and to flac. No foobar nor dvd-a input involved. I also recoded mlp, wav and flac to wavpack - in foobar but I guess no dvd-a input was invlved in flac and wav conversion. And all those files show proper channel layout now but all play wrong in foobar. I guess foobar does not use dvd-a input to play wavpack, wav or flac.

The only ones available now are the ones listed in Tools/ESLyric/Lyric Option.  If you hit the "Get more.." link above the Lyric Sources box, it will check and display what's available and if there is an update to it.  I would encourage others to post requested sources in the ESLyric thread so the developer can see them (https://hydrogenaud.io/index.php/topic,122571.0.html).
