residue codebook

Hi, all
    Residue codebook in ogg vorbis has some creative idea. it use entropy &amplitude to part the residue. for example:
residuesplit residue_0.vqd 0,128,32 res0_96_128 0,,32 ,1.5,32 ,2.5,32 ,6.5,32 ,1
who know where the parameter entropy &amplitude come from?
