Feature request: button to clear view filter

The view filter box for filtering the album list is great and I use it often. I particularly appreciate the "by folder structure" option. It currently has a help button. Whenever I clear it  I have to select the current filter text and delete it. It would be nice to clear it with the click of a button or at least with a keyboard shortcut (not aware of such a shortcut or how to create one).
