foobar2000 on Android phone skips to next track after 32 seconds

I have been using foobar2000 on a Nokia 6 Android smartphone with a 128 GB Samsung EVO micro SD card for external storage.
Recently I have acquired a Nokia 8.3 phone, which supports a larger (512 GB) microSD card. While I was waiting to receive the larger card, I transferred the 128 GB card into the new phone. There were no problems playing my MP3 files. Subsequently I replaced the 128 GB card with the new 512 GB card and started copying over the contents of the 128 GB card via a Windows 10 desktop and the same phone-based WiFi file transfer program that I used to originally upload the files to the 128 GB card from the same desktop.

Unfortunately, foobar2000 only played the MP3 files copied over from the 128 GB card for 32 seconds before skipping to the next track. I have tried deleting them from the new card and re-uploading them from the computer's hard disk, but it makes no difference. However, an album uploaded from the computer to the 512 GB card that was never on the 128 GB card plays normally.

Does anyone have any thoughts on how to correct this problem?

I have already tried uninstalling and reinstalling the Android app.
