Although I try to avoid grey over black as much as possible.
To remove individual albums:
The H:\LR_Classical entry should be cleared.
Instead of adding the H:\LR_Classical folder as a whole to the ML, open the folder first, as you did with the Schubert and Beethoven entries.
About the properties window that refuses to close when trying to save changes,
you should post here any error messages you see below the 'Tools' button.
Press 'Apply' after updating the Album Artist field, take note of the error message and post it in you next post.

LR_Classical is a folder which includes all albums. Each album is a subfolder of LR_Classical. What do you mean by saying that this entry should be cleared?
As for your second sentence: do you propose to add every subfolder separately to the ML? They are more than 2200!

Other Lossy Codecs / Descript Audio Codec (.dac) - 90x smaller than .wav?

Unfortunately I can't do a listening test at the moment because my headphones aren't very good, but honestly I didn't feel any difference between the original audio and the audio encoded with this codec (I listened to the music audio in the demonstration page).
What do you think?

Last post by musimath -Please continue being patient with me. I am 81, and it is a wonder that I was able to make all this happen. It was the work of many months to edit such a collection, gathered in years, and to learn to configure foobar to manage it. Foobar is not easy.
I enclose four images. The Alban Berg ones correspond to an entry without problems: the Cover Art in the Library, with the name of the artists, and the display of tags, with the Album Artist tag correctly displayed.
The two next ones correspond to the first problematic album: the name of the artist, Lazar Berman, does not appear neither in the library's display nor the Metadata tags.

I also was not able to edit tags from within the Library, with Properties/Metadata. When I try to make changes there, I couldn't save the changes: if I save these changes the window refuses to close, and the only way to close it is to discard the changes.

Last post by musimath -Don't delete tags, that is unnecessary.
If you look at the tags in your file, all the information shown in TagScanner is also shown by foobar2000.
You have removed the *.CUE exclusion and you have cue files in the library. Cue files will ruin your media library, add *.CUE behind the Exclude list.
The sample file you shared shows absolutely no problems with its tag edits. And all information in it is visible in foobar2000.
If the CUEs are not the reason for your missing information, then that custom skin you use has some weird titleformatting filtering your tag data away.
Not all TagScanner tags are shown in Properties/Metadata: the field Album Artist appears empty, as shown in one of the captures I sent in a former message.
I excluded *.cue

I don't use mp3tag.
When I fill the Album Artist field in Properties/Metadata (your blue image) and save the change all seems to be okay, BUT I cannot close this window. EVERY TIME I press x in the upper right corner I am asked if I want to save. I press Yes and try to close the window again. The situation repeats again and again, and the only way to close this window is to choose Don`t save, and the Album Artist remains empty.
