General - (fb2k) / Foobar2000 output Spdif or USB?

Good morning to everyone. A help to understand. As Foobar2000 receives bits/bytes code(flac, mp3,wav etc) processing to deliver on USB or Spdif system. Please, what is the difference in the foobar2000 process with the Realtek ALC887 codec with Spdif output and the same foobar2000 providing data to DAC through a USB 2.0 port. I hope someone with patience can explain it to us, this seems very important to me to know. Thanks

Hi!
Foobar2000 Controller has been working great for me up to version 1.6.16 of Foobar.
Now I tried to update Foobar to v2.0 that works fine but the plug-in.
I tried every possible variations: 32-bit, 64-bit, refreshing, clean installation... without success.
Everything seems to be ok, but the (Android) phone cannot communicate with Foobar (on the PC).
If I revert to v1.6.16 it works again.
Where is the rub?

Support - (fb2k) / Foobar playback on NAS

Hiyall,
I want to be able to listen to tracks on my NAS drive BEFORE I transfer them to the main computer for processing. The NAS is permanently attached to the main computer via a network. Linux Mint Cinnamon only seems to have the option of right-clicking the music file and selecting installed programs. FB is of course running via Wine.
Can someone help please?

Not surprising that iTunes is too retarded to support FLAC, but it "must" support ALAC? At least it isn't half as bad as WMAL. Well if you "edit" files you might not worry so much about losslessness, but ...

WMAL is lossless, but no wonder that you like to give wrong and false half-truths around to innocent users as usual.
Its just that for long time WMAL decoder in ffmpeg did not export initial padding and last padding, and thus produced wrong output at start/end of audio. Also some other incompetent devs from MS broke their decoder several times.
