crashings in foo_rename v0.2.9 since foobar2000 v1.5.x

Hi and I hope you are all well!

I once had a chat with the developer, but unfortunately, can not find that thread again to continue there...

WHAT HAPPENED:
I've experienced foobar2000-crashes since the last months when using the tiny little helper component foo_rename v0.2.9.

HOW TO REPRODUCE pre:
I've compiled a ZIP which contains:
-my config of the component.
-music files/folders, which irritates the component so crashing f2k
-some crash reports
-the used component (because I dunno where I got it and if it is the latest version. I did not find it on the official components page, nor any original homepage)

HOW TO REPRODUCE steps:
I installed f2k 1.5.3 (same with all the new or older betas) in portable mode, on Win7 64bit,
only copied my config and the component itself to their folders and
renamed all or some albums,
which all results in a crash of the mighty foobar2000!

Is there someone out who can reproduce this too?

Cheers!

P.S.
As always, an animated GIF says more than 1000 words... so take a look at the attached image.

I can even see it on your right click menu.
You're right, its hard to catch if you don't konw that component and what it is doing.

Rightclick -> Utilities -> Rename tracks

It seems related "Normalize Unicode to", I disable it then no crash

The component's home is here, btw: https://foobar.hyv.fi/?changes=foo_renamer.

I'll release a fix once I have time to create a proper one. The KC normalization form used in your settings turns the replacement question mark '?' back into illegal filesystem character '?' and I had forgotten to protect file existence check code with exception handling, thus the crash.
For now I'd recommend using the less strick normalization form C.

As I have no clue anyways, what all the normalization thingy does, nor nothing about strickt or less strickt (I have tried to read about it the last years again and again, but always feel dizzy and skipped....),

I just thank you all for your time and testing.

And thanks for the link.
