upnp CPs with links to browse disk info?

Hi, are there any windows CP applications which will allow to click on a disk/track and send that to google or some music info database. It seems such a simple addition but all my control points and players only do the bare essentials for upnp playing.

You might try Windows Media Player.

  Never even considered that! I stopped with WMP years ago. Always thought it was just a player. But if you say it can act as a CP then I will deffo revisit it ...thanks

It is a long time ago I used WMP myself :)
Like any other media player it can lookup tracks on the internet.
If I remember correctly, WP 12 added the option “play to”, indeed a UPnP control point.
It could also browse other servers as Win is fully DLNA compliant.
Anyway, I use a media player (MusicBee) to maintain my collection including internet lookup and manual tagging. Just pick a tagger that suites your needs: http://www.thewelltemperedcomputer.com/SW/tagging.html
