If you've stored all your single mp3 files in one folder you can use:
Right click on "All music" --> choose "view --> by directory structure".

Otherwise you will enter a new view preset with titleformatting.

The display is made in a panel stack splitter.
It is not an "extra" display plugin or something similar

You can easily copy the content of the display script.
Download my skin --> import the skin (BUT SAVE YOURS FIRST BY EXPORT TO FCL FOR LATER RELOAD!!!) --> Right-click on the display --> Splitter Settings --> and copy the content to clipboard or to a txt-file.
Then, after reloading your own configuration, insert a panel stack splitter, place it where you want it to be placed and insert the copied code .

But you need the DarkOne.ttf installed to display the same font!
(Is included in the download folder)

Do you have raised your DPI-settings in windows from the default 96 DPI to 120 due to a high resolution monitor?

But you can do the following:
Go into the script and search all entries that begins with $font(Arial Black,... and set the size from 5 to 4.
Then search all entries that begins with $font(DarkOne,... and change the size from 14 to 11.
It may still look ugly, but is the only solution that works on DPI higher than 96.

Do you have a total tracks tag in your files?

i've seen that your resolution is only 1024*x.
The skin is made for higher resolutions so you will have problems with the big image view (because the buttons will be overlayed over the art indicator display)...

Couldn't happen with the default grouping scheme if your albums are correctly tagged already...

Try to give your 8 discs album an additional tag called ALBUM ARTIST "Various Artists" or "VA".
Otherwise you'll get this because ELPlaylist groups your albums with the ARTIST tag (and as each song has another artist, it will not goup at all, because you have forced ELPlaylist with the string i posted you - $ifequal(%el_item_count%,1,... - to not group single files).

To the other post:
The font for the note sign is Tahoma. It should automatically choose an unicode charset, while Segoe UI doesn't.
Go to the "Script"-->"Per Second" tab and change the font to Arial Unicode MS or (if you have it "Dotum" or any other charset that has the character.

The image has to have the EXACT name as the artist tag!
If your artist is called Nelly and your picture is called Nellie or Nelly_, the configuration can't find it.

Or do you have a problem displaying artist pictures at all?

To the artist's name:
Go to settings --> "field definition" tab --> double-click on the entry __COLUMN_ONE_TEXT__ and replace in the definition box the content with this string:

The NG Playlists "group header" isn't stored in the FCL, so it has nothing to do with my configuration .
But if it would it would only display %album artist% $char(8226) %album%
Because it would only read the tags.

Maybe you've changed your grouping scheme in NG Playlist to %directoryname% or something similar.
Go to Preferences --> Columns UI --> Playlist view --> Grouping and change the "Script" to your needs.

In foobar2000 0.9.6.x there is no need for rescan the library since it automatically keeps track of any changes made to its folders now.
You should update to 0.9.6.x

Hiding the scrollbars is not as easy because the panels you mentioned are integrated in a tabbed panel stack mod and not in a panel stack splitter. There's no chance to hide the scrollbars except placing the whole tabbed panel stack mod in width as followed: $add(%_width%,18).
But this would cause that all integrated panels on the right side wouldn't be placed in the centre of the right panel...

The blinking note:
I encountered that many users have problems getting the blinking note to work.
Try changing the font from Tahoma to Arial Unicode MS.
Tahoma hasn't the note in its charset by default, but as it is the default font on windows xp it "leans" it from an existing charset (at least on xp).
I'll change the font by default in a next release in the future.

Have you tried to change the font style to "Arial Unicode MS"?

To hide the artist picture layer under the ELPlaylist only you can go to:
Right-click on ELPlaylist --> Settings --> style tab --> deactivate "pseudo-transparent" and activate "total" below "custom background colour".
The correct background colour should have been predefined, if not click on the "..." button right besides the "total" and change it to R:19,G:30,B:38.

I don't meant "@Arial Unicode MS" but "Arial Unicode MS".
Some made this mistake, maybe you too?

But it works with Arial Unicode MS but not Tahoma. I finally got 'the' blinking note.

If i understand you correctly you want the folder.jpg displayed in the group header of the ELPlaylist and as well in the popup window instead of the artist picture?
Then it can't be fixed with extended variables but with the setting in ELPlaylist directly.

To your cover problem:
Where does it show the old cover?
The configuration is set up to use the foobar2000 artreader (it displays embedded artwork as well as external).
But your external front cover has to be named like "folder.jpg", "front.jpg" or "cover.jpg".

To erase or view embedded album art you have to use a separate program, since foobar doesn't handle it (except displaying it if available).
I do it with mp3tag.

Another question:
Are your files mp3?
Have you played the files in WMP recently?
WMP has the silly behaviour to save a hidden folder.jpg in the files folder, so it may happen that this is preferred on display in foobars artreader...

I was just wondering if there was any way to change the font colours for Artist name in the play list. I myself changed the font for the Artist name from IMPACT to Subatomic Tsoonami. Looked better to me. But I would really like to be able to change the font colours.

Hm, the cover panel on the left down side uses the in-built foobar2000-artreader.
To display covers stored other than in the music's folder, and called other than folder.*, fron.* or cover.* you would need foo_covers, but that doesn't work with the ELPlalyist...

you must put the DarkOne folder from the ZIP to your foobar2000 intallation path. Eg:- C:\Progam Files\Foobar2000\

But the user guide will "guide" you through the process

I already simplified the big cover view: only 5 pictures on click (artreader or custom images).

Another things i want to do:
- "marry" the 4 wsh panel mods and the trackinfo used in the left panel to one wsh panel mod. But this has to wait until there is an easy way to measure the text for the trackinfo (not that easy at the moment).
- improve some code
- different grouping and sort schemes for ELPlaylist (may need your help for this: what grouping and sort schemes are needed?)

At the moment i decreased memory load at about 25% on startup, and will decrease it some more.

You could replace the big cover view with chronflow if you really wants it.
Just look into the splitter settings, notice left, top, width and height settings from BigCover panel, add the chronflow element, enter the values from bigcover view, rename chronflow in the panel list to "BigCover" and the delete the previous BigCover panel.
Now you only need to setup chronflow.
I can't help you with it, because - as i said earlier - it doesn't work on my system, so i never tried to set it up

No, you have to change __ART_OPTION__ from artreader_front to artreader.
I made a mistake in ELPlaylist settings 
artreader_front only seems to refer to front.jpg not folder.jpg...

Is "Enable color key" really checked?
Then it can't have white borders if you've set up transparent color or your systemcolor 15.
If it still has white borders you should probably post a bug report in the ELPlaylist thread.

i still have problems with the playlist. The artreader option don't show any cover on my playlist.
How can i fix this?

1.) Right-click in the playlist --> Settings --> field definition tab and double-click on the entry __ART_OPTION__. Then change the value to artreader nodelay.
This should work.

2.) Activate the big cover view --> right-click in it and choose "Splitter Settings --> Script tab". Scroll down to:
$puts(option,$ifequal(%art.switch%,1,$if($stricmp($get(cover.server),%path%),$get(cover),),noexpansion))

For your "search" problem:
Just click once on "All..." in the filter you want to search for and typing a letter in will work as wanted.

I don't know any other solution to clear your playlists than right-click on the desired playlist and choose "remove"...

I'm using the same, and latest, components.

Does foobar work without DarkOne installed ?

Does any media player work on your system correctly ?

Do you know you have reliable functioning sound card drivers ?

There's no other way than foo_covers to display images that are other named than front, folder or cover, since DarkOne uses the built-in foobar2000 artreader to display album art...

So far I haven't noticed any bugs apart from the main display panel which displays the remaining time for some files only in a countdown of ten seconds intervals.

Or wait until i released DarkOne v1.6 (will come today, or tomorrow, not later than sunday... )

Here on XP on a virgin foobar2000 installation DarkOne v1.6 uses at about 35MB on startup, but it raises during use up to 50MB.
If i enable 'auto-cycle image' in Biography view panel it raises and raises and raises...
I guess there is a memory leak in it, so i disabled it on startup.

... 50MB on startup, raises up to 70MB after one hour. With auto-cycle-image it raised up to 130MB...

If you want the scrollbar (but looks ugly...) right-click in the playlist --> Settings --> Style tab --> set "Scrollbar" to "default" (at the bottom of the page).

I really like DarkOne but I've got one question... is there a way to auto-scroll lyrics when it's unsynced (.txt)? That's a feature I love in Xchange and loved in Kameleon but it doesn't seem to work the same way in DarkOne and I dislike that.

You have deleted the peakmeter because you don't want it?
Raising space for the cover is not that easy since it is in a different splitter...
You can fill the space by moving the display a bit down, and the trackinfo.
For a greater cover view i implemented the "Big Cover view" (available with the last button on the right above the playlist).

For moving the display and trackinfo:
Right-click on the display --> Splitter Settings --> and change "top" of "Seekbar and Display" to $sub(%ps_height%,69).
For filling the space above the display with the trackinfo change "height" of the trackinfo to $sub(%ps_height%,190).

No, if you have Segoe UI installed in your c:\windows\fonts folder, then it should be selectable in the list. Strange...
So you'll be forced to use Tahoma instead.

If its not selectable then it isn't displayed at all in the configuration.
The default font of your windows visual style is then used instead (i think at least...).

Font sizes are coded in the ELPlaylists and WSH Panels scripts. And in the Biography Panels Preferences itself.
All other font sizes are selectable in Columns UI--> Colours and Fonts.

I had this kinda error when I had accidentally left Foobar open when running the installer.

1.) Right-click in the playlist --> Settings --> Grouping tab --> enter in "Sort format":

So if you have made them "top" at 50, type-in:

There's a "82" in each line.

The images for the background picture have to be stored locally, since the ELPlaylist in the foreground does only refresh on track change, but images from biography view panel are loaded later.
I haven't got it working (still tried it ) to display the biography view images in the background. Sorry...
But i must confess, i haven't "worked" with the possibilities of biography view panel intensively.
Maybe one has a solution for this?

It is possible to display the album art provided by the artreader in the background, though.
But since the global variable for artist pictures is used in the big cover view too, you need to overwrite another part in the script.
This one (right-click on the thin bar above the playlist --> Splitter Settings --> Script --> PerTrack):
