playlist\indexer for harddrive kept xvid movies

Ive tried people i really have, searched everywhere, downloaded many movie management software pieces, but still have notta.

I have about 400 dvd-rips (xvid) on a 400 gig harddrive.

My method of playing a movie is, map to that drive, open up the drive letter and choose the movie i want.  I use zoom player so it will play the next file in the list in the case that it is multiple cd's (files).

So that is weak, i know, im looking for a way to index the movies, maybe add some imdb info, covers, anything to make it a little bit more manageable and cool to look at. Anyone have any thoughts on this, i guess even a html doc, linked to the .avi's would be better than what i have...so thanks....
