LTP in AAC LD

Hi,
      I have a doubt regarding the inclusion of LTP module in AAC LD. LD is designed for low delay for effective two way communication. But LTP involves many computations. It involves both encoding and decoding. So doesn't this computation introduce certain delay and make LD inefficient?

              I had posted those threads at a time when i didn't look LTP..but now that I have looked LTP I had seen many codes that included LTP in LD which includes ISO reference code. The latest MPEG4 spec also tells about LTP in AAC-LD. So LTP is permitted in AAC-LD...actually LD is a modified object of LTP object type. If you have any confusion you can refer ISO MPEG4 spec
