cue file editing is not working

FB 1.4 b15

If I load a cue file to the editor screen it looks fine. after 'OK' FB reads and appears to use it, but the album list doesn't then see the tracks, and if I open the cue editor again, the contents have been rewritten to all show the album name for each track name.
Removing the embedded cue file has no effect.

What exact file type is it? Is it a FLAC file?

That can happen if file you want to add cue has tags. So first remove tags from single flac file and then add cue again.
And if you've already added cue you should:
remove embedded cue > remove tags from file > add cue

Yes - FLAC files as far as I have seen.

I'll try the tag removal

yes - clearing tags/clearing cue file/adding cue file works.

(has FB a clear tags option somewhere?)

It has but it is disabled by default. You can enable it at Preferences / Display / Context menu / Tagging

If you still have the original file where editing cuesheet yelds incorrect results, I'd like to have a copy of it.
