It will be in the next release.

Hi,

it's nice, but for me it doesn't work and I don't understand why...I can't see the covers, and I can't see the satus bar. I will try again later.

Sounds Like not all the settings are intact.  I may not have explained everything in my directions.  As I said, this is my first ever release of a foobar config, so I'm unsure how much the fcl file includes and how much I need to explain outright.

On Monday, when I'm at my computer next, I'll update the instructions and make sure everything is properly explained.

btw... what theme r u using???

Microsoft Zune Theme.

Nice looking theme, I'll try this out later and help if i can with bugs.
Edit: any chance for a non-WSH panel version please?
Edit: Could you have and artist, button to switch. (just like you have for albums)
Edit: The only way to leave mini-mode is to hit browse and then play list.*ONLY* if you want the small play list to show, otherwise you'll have to re-size it again.
Edit: Could  you also add better support for full screen? So that the album art stretches with the outline border around it does, that would fix the full mode, is this possible?
Edit: A play list selector ability would be great. Some how i did not notice play list drop down, LOL sorry about that. Everything else would be a good feature to have.
Edit: A option to stop showing that mini mode with your website address would be nice.
Edit: Start up can be set to play list(would be a nice feature)

My playback buttons will not show any idea why?

I have updated, so now it works better...the only issue is that it doesn't show the covers in mini and playlist mode. They are all named "folder.jpg\png" in the album's folder.

You can't just go straight to play list?  If not, that's a bug.  All other view modes should expand the window.

Edit: Could  you also add better support for full screen? So that the album art stretches with the outline border around it does, that would fix the full mode, is this possible?

We'll see.  I'm a fix width kinda guy.  I've never been much of a liquid design kinda person, but perhaps I'll make an exception.

My playback buttons will not show any idea why?

And you did set the theme folder setting?  If you see the background image, you should see the buttons unless there is something off about the panel settings.

It should be picking up the folder.jpg no problem.  If they're in the album's folder, make sure the custom image folder setting is unchanged.  If it is still the default, then we've got a bug.

Well, If you don't know where it is, then I guess it's safe to assume you didn't change it.

It's located at the top of the settings of each component that shows the images.  It allows you to specify a specific folder for images it it's outside of the folder with the MP3 files.

Hi, tgpo thanks for the replys. I have no problem with your slim look design i think it's a nice feature, so making a full mode is just a wishlist kinda deal. I did not change the folder settings at all, except where to look for cover art, everything else (buttons) show but my playback buttons. I will try again.  Thanks, i noticed that if i have this, Folder wise order, /themes/tgpo/tgpo/images settings tgpo.fcl (my playback buttons don't show) however if i just take the second tgpo folder and have this /themes/tgpo/images settings tgpo.fcl My buttons (playback) show fine. So everything so far is now cool.
Edit: just found out that playbutton does not show at all, but the pause button is in it's place at all times. Weird

That explains it.  It should only have one tgpo folder.  I'll add this point to my instructions.  It should be /themes/tgpo/*files*

That's actually how it is right now, until we get %isplaying% or %ispaused% support in Panel Splitter.  If it bothers you, you can switch their placement in the if statement in the config code.

Ok, thanks. Then everything seems to be straight and working good. A rating feature would be a nice/handy feature to have with your design.

Just so I know how much info I need to give on each release.  How much info did the fcl include, and what did you have to manually add?

Found a bug that would cause folder.jpg covers not to show up in Mini and Platlist modes.  The fix will be in the next release.

Hi, if you're asking about what i changed to make the rating fucntion, that is nothing ( never did it) But if you're also talking about in (general) i had to edit the path, /tgpo/tgpo, example but i then just extracted the folder with the one /tgpo and i didn't have to edit anything.

I mean per component what did you have to do?  Did you have to copy/paste the setting for Track Info Mod, or was it already there?

Hey, it's abydos from 5/8. Posting here so you don't have to look in both threads for the same thing
I have a problem, I installed it and downloaded all the plugins, but it won't play anything when I double click. It just sits there as if it's on pause.

(http://thumbnails8.imagebam.com/903/b3166d9024963.gif) (http://www.imagebam.com/image/b3166d9024963) (http://thumbnails8.imagebam.com/903/47e6439024966.gif) (http://www.imagebam.com/image/47e6439024966) (http://thumbnails8.imagebam.com/903/b535689024968.gif) (http://www.imagebam.com/image/b535689024968) (http://thumbnails8.imagebam.com/903/94cf499024970.gif) (http://www.imagebam.com/image/94cf499024970)

Also, will it be possible to make it show the bitrate of albums? As in V0, V2, FLAC, etc?
How did you make the volume bar active on mouse over with the wheel?
Are there any shortcuts to switch through viewing modes?

Hi, nice new re-design. Though i have found a slight problem, besides full mode(which looks good with the album art but everything else ain't right), i noticed when i have the play list at start up instead of the mini-mode, and when i hit play i see a piece of my album art at the top track info part. But when i click like mini-mode, or browser, and then click back into the play list the album art disappears and appears normally without it. Can you fix this?
Edit: Also, when i re size the window a little bit to show the track ino panel a little more when clicking the GB, graphical browser(acutally clicking any of the buttons) then  it re size the window back to the way it was instead of keeping it (the way i changed it too)
Here is some screen shots
(http://img58.imageshack.us/img58/9307/haforum1kc8.th.png) (http://img58.imageshack.us/my.php?image=haforum1kc8.png)        (http://img58.imageshack.us/img58/3355/haforum2xp5.th.png) (http://img58.imageshack.us/my.php?image=haforum2xp5.png)      (http://img232.imageshack.us/img232/4266/haforum3lc7.th.png) (http://img232.imageshack.us/my.php?image=haforum3lc7.png)
The first one, is the album art in my track info in start-up with playlist not hidden, and the second one is when i resized my window a little to show the track info more like your screen shot, and the third one is after i click a button and the window then becomes re-sized back to normal which isn't right on my end.

Just for testing, if you revert to default UI does it play the files?

Also, will it be possible to make it show the bitrate of albums? As in V0, V2, FLAC, etc?

Anything is possible.  I'll see what I can do.

How did you make the volume bar active on mouse over with the wheel?

Someone else coded the volume bar script.  I found in on this forum somewhere.

Are there any shortcuts to switch through viewing modes?

Nope.  I'm unsure if that's even possible, but I'll look into it.

Hi, nice new re-design. Though i have found a slight problem, besides full mode(which looks good with the album art but everything else ain't right),

I'm a fix size guy, remember  At least this was a step in the right direction for you, right    I'll try and get more and more fluid size for you and other people who like full screen modes.

i noticed when i have the play list at start up instead of the mini-mode, and when i hit play i see a piece of my album art at the top track info part. But when i click like mini-mode, or browser, and then click back into the play list the album art disappears and appears normally without it. Can you fix this?

Nope, but you can.  When you made the Playlist be the startup panel, you didn't make the Track Info Mod be hidden at startup.  If you have playlist be the startup panel, then the Now Playing panel should be shown instead of Track Info Mod.

Edit: Also, when i re size the window a little bit to show the track ino panel a little more when clicking the GB, graphical browser(acutally clicking any of the buttons) then  it re size the window back to the way it was instead of keeping it (the way i changed it too)

All part of my fixed size nuances.  As I make the design more fluid this will fix itself.

That fixed the album art issue thanks, but it does not display the artist, title,etc... now unless i click another button. NOT a big deal or anything.
Edit: Still though you have that gap between the sides of your track info, the border, and i do not, unless i resize this. DO you know why? I think it's weird that it doesn't.

Hi,

I'm trying to install tgpo v1.1 but when I try to import tgpo.fcl, foobar would crash and give me this a long error message:

Illegal operation:
Code: C000001Dh, flags: 00000000h, address: 011A738Eh
Call path:
entry=>app_mainloop=>Create splitter host

ETC.....

I tried both foobar2000 v0.9.5.3 and foobar2000 v0.9.5.4. It still crashes.

I unzip tgpo.zip with the following folder structure:

"C:\Program Files\foobar2000\themes\tgpo\images"
"C:\Program Files\foobar2000\themes\tgpo\tgpo.fcl"

NOTE: I do not have the settings folder as mention in step 4 of the instruction. The zip only contains images folder and the fcl file. Maybe it's the missing settings folder causing crash?

Below is the list of components I installed in the foobar component folders:

WSH Panel (uie) 0.7.2  (foo_uie_wsh_panel)
Default User Interface 0.9.5  (foo_ui_std)
Album List 4.2.2  (foo_albumlist)
Track info panel mod 0.8.0 beta [Jan  5 2007 - 13:36:12]  (foo_uie_trackinfo_mod)
CD Audio Decoder 2.1.2  (foo_cdda)
Standard DSP Array 1.0  (foo_dsp_std)
foobar2000 core 0.9.5.3  (Core)
Panel Stack Splitter 0.3.4(alpha)  (foo_uie_panel_splitter)
Standard Input Array 1.0  (foo_input_std)
Album list panel 0.2.3 beta  (foo_uie_albumlist)
Quick Search Toolbar 2.8l  (foo_uie_quicksearch)
ReplayGain Scanner 2.0.6  (foo_rgscan)
Single Column Playlist Display 0.5.4 beta [Jan  9 2007 - 15:42:59]  (foo_uie_single_column_playlist)
Graphical Browser rev015  (foo_uie_graphical_browser)
Playlists Dropdown 0.6 alpha 4  (foo_uie_playlists_dropdown)
Converter 1.1.1  (foo_converter)
Columns UI 0.3 beta 2 preview 11e  (foo_ui_columns)

Any suggestion of what is causing this crash? This is my first time installinga  foobar config.

Tgpo thanks for this sharing this awsome config. It's your config makes me want to switch to foobar from AMIP2.

Any help would be greatly appreciate it.

Kenneth

UPDATE: After a little more research, I find out it was the foo_uie_wsh_panel that is causing the crash. Since some of you got it running, is there a special requirements or installation to get it to work?

I had some internet problems and fixed the issues I had with it . Thank god for consoles showing error messages! The problem was that for some reason foobar didn't auto detect the Output Device and it acted as if I didn't have a sound card.

Now, a few suggestions/requests

1. Can you make it so that when I click on the Artist/Song showing above the seekbar it will find that current song on the playlist and show it on screen?
For instance you're browsing down your playlist and decide you want to jump right to the song/album you're playing but instead of looking where it is just click on the name above the seekbar and it will automatically get you there.
2. The ability to sort the playlist. Right now it adds everything in the bottom, but I want to sort it so it's easier to find stuff I'm not particularly looking for - band/album/year.
There is a "View" context menu when you right click on the side border of the application but it does absolutely nothing.
3. Can you make it possible to drag the whole window by clicking and holding somewhere outside the playlist?
[a href="http://www.imagebam.com/image/89f86f9068767" target="_blank"] Is it possible to make the seek bar act the same as the volume bar when the mouse is hovering exactly over it so you can also seek with the scroll?
10a. It would be great if it also showed the year of the album, next to the name or genre or # tracks.
11. What should I do to make it show special characters (such as the Y in Queensryche)?
[a href="http://www.imagebam.com/image/a4c7069069314" target="_blank"] Great job! You should also post it on deviantart

Glad you like it.

WSH panel is picky about what hardware it will stably run on.  Some hardware configurations it just refuses to not crash on.

The fix to this is to replace WSH with the seek bar.  It's not pretty, but it's stable and gets the job done.

I'll come up with a non WSH config, because others requested it as well.

@Janny,

I'll go through later today and address your list, I'm 2 minutes from leaving for work.  Some of your requests are outside the scope of what a config can do and are actually foobar2000 requests.  I'll be sure to note these when I go through it later today.

Thanks for all the feedback thus far.  I know the config isn't as exciting or large as others out there, but I'm glad to see there are other like me who don't need a lot of flashy graphics to enjoy their music.

Hi, it's in the previous picture, the first and the second one. ON the left side you'll see the very tiny gap, and the right has no gap, the second picture with the green line shows the small gap(i had to re-size the window to show the gap on the side) i hope that helps,

Are you in Vista?  The reason I ask is because your window border is much larger than what my XP uses.  I would speculate that the extra thickness of the border is causing this issue.  I would image that as I work through and remove my fixed width and go to a fluid width design this issue will correct itself because it will be doing the math of how much space it needs.

I don't think that's possible.  That would require the two components to interact with each other and share data.

11. What should I do to make it show special characters (such as the Y in Queensryche)?

That's either an issue with the Track Info Mod component used to display the info, or the font I used, Arial.  If you have the band name in a text program and have the font set to Arial, does it show the special character?

I really love this design, I'm currently thinking of keeping it as a default one. It's not huge, it's easy on the eyes and stylish. It would have been great to be able to see the whole artwork but it's not a big deal. Minimalistic is good too  Great job! You should also post it on deviantart

Thanks, glad you like it.  I went back and forth on the album art issue and eventually figured that the point of the player isn't to see the art, it's to hear the music.  I figured people would pull the cd out if they wanted to see the full art, 300x300 images don't do some covers justice.

Thanks. I'll look forward for the non WSH config because I really like how you layout the UI. This should be the default theme for Foobar.

Tgpo, I created an install.cmd that will automatically copy the installation files to foobar folder without do it manually. You can create two installaion. One without the components and one with components in the folder. Would you be interested? If so, I'll email it to you.

tgpo, thanks for the reply, i should have mentioned that i do in fact use Windows Vista, is there any fix possible? Or you can't because you do not use this operating system at this time.

Although I can't test it, my hope is that by killing the fixed width code it will auto adapt to the added border width.  We'll see.

sounds good man, thanks for even trying to help with this issue. (since it doesn't affect the playback it does not bother me all that much) just cosmetic.

This looks great.  I'd love it if you could incorporate lyrics and ratings in the future.  I'd gotten used to changing my PUIs fairly often, and now that the evil admins have killed that off I've been stuck with the same one for quite a while.

We'll see about lyrics and ratings.  I'll add it to my list of things to mess around and work with for possible addition.

Sorry for the way I reply, but there's some problem with the quotes and it gets even more frustrating who said what

1. On my other config, when I press on the artwork it jumps straight to the song that's playing, but the other one is using PanelsUI, maybe this has something to do with it.

3-4. Again, this is possible but on the other config, PanelsUI. Damn.

5. Albumlist is installed as well as Album List Panel.

6. Did it, no results.

7. Unfortunately you're right. PanelsUI allowed this, but not Columns.

10. Not necessarily if it acts as a keyboard shortcut - one scroll = 5 seconds (for instance). But I agree, kinda pointless.

11. It was an issue with the font. I changed it and it shows everything now.

I'm guessing 5 & 6 go hand in hand.  Because it isn't finding your music, the 4th view mode has nothing to display.

I'm unsure why Foobar2000 isn't seeing your music, it may not like the @ in the folder path.  Try it without the @ and see what happens.  If the problem persists, post about it in the support forum and see if some developers can offer further insights.

I've added a to do list to the top post.  This way everyone will know what I'm working on and we won't repeat requests.

It's not the @ in the path because the older foobar with those plugins recognizes everything. I messed around with it, removing one plugin, then replacing it etc. but the only thing I managed to do is fuck it up completely lol,
now it looks like this. First pic is the album list panel (fourth button) with a right click on it (if you look on the previous page when I posted screenshots, it looks different there). I deleted the config folder, added it again but the result is the same:

Sweet!!! I can't wait for the non-wsh_panel version. I tried on three computers and Foobar crashed on all of them. Thanks again for your dedication and time on this config. This is one of the best theme as of right now.

Glad to hear it.  Between work, church band, and new baby I have limited time.

But I assure you it's in the works.

Ratings may happen in the future, but I doubt lyrics ever will.
