EAC Suddenly won't rip to flac anymore

HI All,

After ripping 400+ CD"s with the same settings I'm suddenly getting errors when trying to rip cd's to FLAC.  It will extract the .wav without any issues, but I always receive an error when it tries to convert to flac now.  I have literally not changed anything.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

In your example, the leading colon ":" (in %albumartist% (CD Artist) or %artist% (Track Artist), depending on which placeholder is in your filename naming scheme) is causing a problem. To be more precise, it is actually the default character replacement of a hyphen "-" used as the first character of the filename that the encoder doesn't like.

You could edit the box(es) before ripping, adjust character replacements so the colon character is deleted instead of replaced by a hyphen, or change the filename naming scheme.
