Title: Files not imported
Post by: SteveM on 2020-02-13 06:01:19
First off I'm new to Foo.  I have been fooling around with it for the past month or so, figuring out what Components to use and how to mod the GUI. Do not know why so many people complain that it's not newbie friendly cause you just have to do some readying.  Anyway I imported a boatload of music files with no problem or so I thought...

After a while I noted that I had an issue with some music files not showing up.  Wouldn't happen to any particular folder just some random tracks. I finally narrowed it down. It was some sort of tag corruption in the file. It only happened to .m4a files and only to some of them, others in the same folder came in fine.  I can read the tags of these "corrupted" files in Tag N Rename and play them in Media Player Classic, but they will not import into Foo.  Once I stripped the tags from the files and rewrote them they would import.

So my problem is this...  With over 27 days of music in my library, how do i figure out what was missed in the import so I can go back and manually strip those files and re-import them? Is there any way in Foo or a third party software that will analyze the directory structure on of the hard drive and compare it to Foo's DB? Can I output the DB to XML or CSV? I'm at a total loss here and any help would be appreciated.  Thanks All!!!
