Wow! The best CUI I've seen in some time. Its like best of DUI and CUI together. Please, please share. I see some sweet icons too so it would be nice to grab them too : )
Really nice job.

Hey, thank you for your compliments
I posted classical layout just to put some exotic in many graphical layouts posted here, and didn't expect that someone will like me to shere my config
I guess I like all the functionality I can get, and the config is too subjective I think, so I'll explain what it's about

You can find those buttons here (mainly it's gnome 2.18 icon theme)

And for the vertical buttons here are templates:

Vertical buttons are CUI buttons on PSS with left toggle area which are triggered as tabs from the foo_uie_tabs (which are hidden obviously):

1. foo_uie_albumlist
- foo_uie_graphical_browser
2. foo_uie_explorer
- foo_upnp
3. playlist switcher
- foo_playlist_tree_mod
4. foo_uie_lyrics
- foo_uie_biography
5. CUI item properties
- foo_uie_bookmarks
6. queue*
- switcher between NG Playlist and Shpeck

*ok this is a little complicated but in general there are couple of CUI item details panels, artwork view, 3 CUI buttons and WSH rating panel in the upper area and ELPlaylist set to playback queue playlist

On the right side:

- foo_uie_quicksearch and foo_uie_playlist_dropdown
- foo_uie_typefind
- tabbed NG playlist and Shpeck

This can be made easily, but if you want configuration for some panel, just say

Could you export your config and share it? Would be a lot easier to play with it.
Thanks

Ok, thanks for the interest, I'll do that.
First I'll need to check the dependencies and my title formattings, then I'll post it

I uploaded my config, after quick look on my title formattings, so there should be no problems
Please read the read_me.txt file in archive for component dependencies

tedgo, looks cool, but are you sure that splitting darkone to a compact and normal mode is good idea ? :3

those graphics could use an update.

@lokioki
Yes, i think it is better doing it that way.
Having the compact and the normal mode in one config unnecessarily bloats the code and raises power consumption and ram usage, since both modes are loaded at the same time, but only one is in use.
I never wanted to bloat my config and had implemented many features only on users suggestions but i want to turn back to ease-of-use configs

But since both - DarkOne and the forthcoming CompactOne - are using the same colour scheme, it should be easy to switch by loading a new fcl
Although i'd love it, if one could do this without going through "Peferences" page, but could switch in the menu (like it is already possible with layouts).

EDIT:
Initial release of "CompactOne v1.0"
