Cjam - simple MP3 editor

Hi there!

I've developed a new MP3-specific editing software and would like to share it.
Download: https://www.cjmapp.net

Some unique features compared to existing software include:
  • Bulk processing of multiple files without using a batch system
  • A unified approach to cutting and joining using containers as the basic unit of processing
  • The ability to combine both GUI and text-based operations

I’d appreciate any feedback if you try it out!

Moderator: Cjum is now Cjam. Changed thread title and link.

Thank you for reporting the error. I’ve corrected what seems to be the problem and released a new version.
Please let me know if you encounter any further issues.

The program seems to have been downloaded a few times.
Is it running properly for everyone?

From v1.9.0.0, the program name has been changed to "Cjam" and the official website has been relocated.
Please refer to the 1st post for the new website link.

Just used it for the first time to join some mp3s.
It was super fast. Very impressed.

It appears to be very feature rich, although not, imo anyway, intuitively so. The main settings and options are tucked away in a Manage Execution Profiles screen. Def need to refer to the Manual for guidance.

But hey, it's a new (and free) piece of software so there's always a learning curve.

I have one suggestion at this time from the limited use I've made from it: the fade out should be made less aggressive when it starts.

It's very noticeable that a fade out has started.
When I use the fade out option in mp3directcut it's less immediate/aggressive. Indeed that program offers a two-stage fade option as well.
Maybe having a new fade option (for both in and out) to allow "aggressive" (original) and "gentle" to be selected. I hope you understand what i mean when I say "gentle"; a slower and more gradual fade.

Thanks for the program :-)

Thank you for your positive feedback.

Regarding the fade-out issue, I’ll consider adding parameters to select the fade type, such as Straight, Convex, or Concave. I plan to implement this in a future version.

As you mentioned, the software does have quite a few options, and some parts may feel less intuitive. Please feel free to ask if you have any questions.
For the main operations, there are shortcut keys assigned, which might make it easier to navigate and use the software.
