If you consider to use 2byte characters, such as Chinese, Japanese, etc, for tags, you'll need to use MPCencT.

1.Put mpcenct.exe into the same folder as mppenc.exe
2.Check 'Use external program for compression'
3.Change 'Parameter passing scheme' to 'User Defined Encoder
4.Set file extension to .mpc
5.Click 'Browse' and locate 'mpcenct.exe'
6.Change 'Additional command line options' to
--quality 5 --xlevel %s %d --tags2 "Artist=%a" "Title=%t" "Album=%g" "Year=%y" "Track=%n" "Genre=%m"
7.Check 'Delete WAV after compression'
8.Uncheck 'Add ID3 tag'

Above is based on Case's excellent guide.

It's strange indeed...  Try Wapet instead of MPCencT with following command line:
%d -t "Artist=%a" -t "Title=%t" -t "Album=%g" -t "Year=%y" -t "Track=%n" -t "Genre=%m" mppenc.exe --xlevel %s %d

You'll need to put wapet.exe into the same folder as mppenc.exe and set it as "User Defined Encoder" as well.

Alphonso,

Here is a great Musepack-guide either for beginners or expert users to use with EAC:
***

If you follow all the instructions properly, you'll get the highest and safest MPC rip results. It also bypass a plenty of work you would need to set up before ripping to MPC with EAC.  For sure, this guide stands out for high quality ripped albums!

I recommend it

Edit: Okay Moderation  The MPC guide I recommended is called ***, in case some people wonder.
