I put together a pretty minimal skin using Quiark's animation and some of his code as a starting point. The control buttons are transparent. They're laid out below the album art (left to right: previous, play, pause, stop, next). Admittedly, the code for the progress bar could be cleaner, but it works...

great component, thanks!

Here's a quick skin I made. It's supposed to be a sort of Fallout-style display bar. Hope you like it.

There's a darker version in there too, but you'll have to enable that from the skin.xml, but it shouldn't be too hard to find.

the two buttons on top are Minimize foobar and Exit foobar (left and right respectively)
The foobar logo is Activate foobar. EVery other is self-explanatory

) with the two buttons on top...seems if you click in the middle, you'll end up clicking both. Not fun amirite? Its been fixed and i have added another button for Preferences. So now the layout is, Exit, Minimize, Preferences (top to bottom respectively), and the foobar logo has the same function as before

Hello,
I just discovered this great plugin. It is something I've been really missing in fb2k since I upgraded to 0.9 and lost Foopilot One. I really like foostick skin. Simple and effective. I have all the time, I just have some minor issues. The stop button is in fact a pause button. I didn't like the transparent title/info fields, so I changed it. The only think that bothers me is that it is higher then my titlebars and it covers upper parts of menu in maximixed windows. I'll try to downscale it.....

And now one feature request: would it be possible to add a volume slider? Or at least a volume indicator and +/- buttons. Or if you tell me how to do it, I could try it myself.

Thank you.

"Raven hereby releases not one, not two, but three new skins. There's a new version of Mini, which has scrolling enabled and features a simple 'stop' message. If someone wants more work to be done on it, please ask so.

Also included are two versions of Listen or Die. They are based off a popular anime-show, but this reference is only seen with the 'no-album-art' image in the full version. They are using a LOT of special functions that few people seem to ahve used as of yet. Tey are way more advanced than Mini/MiniScroll.

Miniscroll:

The possibilities of creation with foo_title are amazing.
Here's my attempt to *replace* the foo_minview.dll (fb2k 0.8.3) (I used Raven's Mini as a basis):

Hi,
I created my first skin for foo_title:

(http://jech.webz.cz/obrazky/shade.png)

You can download it here (http://jech.webz.cz/soubory/shade.7z) (7-zip compression). It is quite similar to foostick. It is slightly smaller (18px high) to fit my windows titlebar.

Unfortunately I don't know hot take a screenshot of it. I tried XnView and FastStone, but both programs refuse to capture it.

If you know how to produce a screenshot, please let me know.

If you want to modify any part of my skin and release it, please feel free to do it. It is completely my own work, except of a part of the XML which formates bitrate displaying. I took it and modified from my Columns UI .FCS. Unfortunately I can't remember where I got the original code from.

Edit: Is the size of my image acceptable or should I better crop/resize it?

The simplest solution is the best one

Btw. Do you have any idea why the last letter is cropped? It sometimes is and sometimes isn't.

Verify the size of your text layer ?
I can't check it directly: the download does not work for me (_very_ slow and then stopped)

When using Windows XP's silver theme this skin fits on the titlebar of the active window:
[a href=\"http://img160.imageshack.us/my.php?image=footitlepj2.jpg\" target=\"_blank\"] and I can't get the button to the right side (aling right) of the skin but on the left side it works.

EDIT: Found the command in two minutes... Not resize but activate
EDIT2: And the button works now. I don't know what i did different

No this shouldn't be the problem. The text layer is long enough.

I§ll try to upload the skin here. I have no idea why the download doesn't work for you.

Upload worked fine. In tagged a file the same way as your preview shows and... it acts the same! Changing the font name / size fixes it. Weird. A bug ?

Minimalistic Aqua Look skin, 4 different colors.

There's no border at the top as it was designed to be placed at the top of the screen, filling the room the title bar would usually take.

I recommend using it with about 10% transparency

My first serious effort at creating a title skin to match my current Foobar configuration. It took at least a week on a tight schedule to create the layout and get everything arranged properly. I am still not satisfied with the text layout, however.

Hello,

I wanted a replacement for tbar (v0.8x, a component that displays song information on the front window title bar) and I found foo_title could do better (replacing tbar AND miniview).
I took EpS foostick version and remove everything except a few buttons with transparent background. And there it lies discretely on top of my screen !

Enjoy foobar2000 !

I noticed on one of my longer songs (> 10min) that the time ticker wrapped and looked really weird.  I bumped the width of that text layer (name="time") up 10 px and adjusted the trackinfo layer accordingly.  Not sure if anyone else noticed that.

In the spirit of skins that look like boring standard UIs, I have created a skin that fits right in with Windows.  I basically took a screen cap of a Visual Studio 2005 toolbar and foo_title-ified it.  Hence the name, foolbar.  Here's what it looks like:

foolbar_1.0:
(http://img165.imageshack.us/img165/3088/foolbarmv6.png)

foolbar_1.1:
(http://img111.imageshack.us/img111/3089/foolbar11eh7.png)

foolbar_1.2:
(http://img108.imageshack.us/img108/6456/foolbar12zl6.png)

and the skin itself is attached.  Scotty J, I borrowed heavily from Vista Carbon.  Since this is my first skin, I wanted to base it on something that looked great to start with.  Also, the cropped foobar logo is just like in Vista Carbon, but I'd like to make that a non-cropped image when I get the time.  Buttons were gently and tenderly ripped from foo_ui_columns.dll.

(Edit: And I'm now using Tahoma as Verdana rendered with last chars chopped, odd)
(Edit [2006.10.09]: v1.1 - Fixed foobar button, added Search button)
(Edit [2007.03.30]: v1.2 - Added more text using two lines, text displayed is based on playback state.)

It's not actually an option, so you can't disable it.  However, this feature has already been requested... by you...
http://www.hydrogenaudio.org/forums/index....st&p=429842 (http://www.hydrogenaudio.org/forums/index.php?s=&showtopic=46595&view=findpost&p=429842)

No reply in that thread, I know, but I think Quiark has added a menu command to enable/disable foo_title, which might do what you want.  Don't think that's released yet, but if you set foo_title to not be always on top, how would you get back to it?  There's no alt-tab entry or taskbar button for it.

Sure, if you just open one window on top of it... maybe most people don't have much open, but I have tons of windows on two screens open... it would get lost for me.

Pin to desktop, would that behave like the Windows taskbar when you check "Keep the taskbar on top of other windows"?  It basically reserves part of the desktop for the taskbar, so when other windows are maximized, that isn't usable space.  That would be pretty cool.

Hi everyone. First Post

I've been playing around with foobar for a while,but I had not registered..
I just found this component, I love it! So, I did this for myself, and thought I'd share it.

The two "foobar icons" on the left are for activating and shutting off foobar.

hello, great plugin, but i have a question though :

how can you fix the position of the window on the right side? Im using the white skin, so i set the bar the be next to the 3 windows buttons (minimze, expand/contract, close), but depending on which song is playing and the length of the title, the right end of the bar can either move to the left or cover the buttons. Anyone got a solution?

thanks in advance.

That is not possible. The only thing you can do is to use a fixed size skin, so that it doesn't change it's width.
Title: Skins for foo_title plugin
Post by: sankukaai on 2006-10-25 09:07:55
Hey thanks for your answer, I changed to Sune's skin, which is great.

Actually i tweaked it a little (i hope you don't mind Sune) to fit a clear background (you could barely see it before), so I recolorized the background, and made some other buttons. It's the first time i touch someting this close to skinning, i never believed i could have done this kind of thing and stayed up this late for that.

Anyway, I got two questions about that, after that it'll be perfect:

- I try to insert my tags for the rating into this panel so it'll show the rating of the song playing, the script I use in ColumnsUI is $repeat(*,%rating%), but it doesn't seem to be working here. Do I do anything wrong or is it just this kind of script that is not supported by this plugin?

- The size of the panel is fixed, which is what I was looking for, and the text is scrolling, but I'd like to have the text scrolling only when the mouse is over. I might have to change something in this line
<layer name="trackinfo" type="scrolling-text">
like changing scrolling-text to something else, but I couldn't figure out why.

Thanks yall for your help, I'll upload the final thing if it's working and if it might interest someone, and of course if Sune is OK with it.

snk.

@sankukaai, I dont' mind at all, of course you can use my skin and change it the best way to feet your desktop, vs.. I wouldn't share it otherwise. no copyright
It's true this will only suit a dark background, but I made it for myself, so.. If you have made a nice dark one for clear background, do upload it! now!
about the rating, I don't know, cause I don't use it, but the string looks ok to me
as for your 2nd question, I don't think that's possible. there is only one kind of scrolling-text layer, and it has no such option. see the documentation here (http://foo-title.sourceforge.net/)

All right then, so I upload what i did:
- its more dark skinned so you can see it on light backgrounds
- i changed the buttons and made them black, and changed the activate button (see below)
- the 'activate' button is now the whole bar, and it activates or hides. Click on the bar, it'll show or hide fb2k.

Im still looking for the 'scroll only when mouse over feature' and how to show ratings in the bar. the rating script is implemented, so if it works for you just let me know.

Thanks again Sune

That feature with scrolling only when mouse is over the layer doesn't exist either.. foo_title is only a simple plugin

sune, i like your skin.

Would you consider inverting the colors?  For example, my menu bars are silver, so what about making it look the way the skin looks when it is sitting on your black menu bars.

there you go. A quick batch-invert on the images, not too much work

when switching to the default XP visual style (silver) to see how it would suit it I realised the bar is thicker, and it does not fit in "exactly", like in my visual style. I hadn't thought of that...

if you want only the text to be white you can change it yourself in the skin.xml file. change the color of the "text" layer and the "scrolling text" layer. CC000000 is the black i used. change them both to ffffffff (white).
and If you want the whole thing in white it's in the previous page for download

sune---- thanks a million man

I really love it.

This is really nit picky... but is there a way to make the skin sit 1 pixel lower when it is all the way at the top of the screen?

I tried to edit the image, by manually moving the transparent box down 1 notch, but then I couldn't get the skin to load.  If it was just a tiny bit lower it would sit perfect on my firefox titlebar.

Hi guys, I'm really new to all this and putting together a skin of my own for foo_title, this may be a dumb question but, is there a list of the commands somwhere? I looked on the wiki but didn't find one. Specificly I'd like to add a resize feature and a volume slider to my foo_title skin.
Title: Skins for foo_title plugin
Post by: Quiark on 2006-11-26 22:11:54
Neither resize nor volume slider is possible in foo_title (it's a simple program . The commands for buttons you can use are the foobar's main menu commands such as Next, Play, Open...

Damn, I was hoping I could ditch WMP for good  I'm too lazy to learn hotkeys or maximize foobar every time I want to change volume and even the smallest of these foo_title skins is too large to leave comfortably at the bottom of my screen.  If only there was a way to make it behave exactly like WMP's taskbar toolbar. I just got an Auzentech XM7.1 last week though and it sounds infinitely better on foobar than on WMP, so trying to take my features with me haha. Well, I guess I can just make a smaller skin (about the size of a taskbar item). Is there a way to get it to show/hide the now playing? I guess I could put in a really small scrolling area... Any suggestions for how I could get volume control working? I know you say it's not possible with foo_title, would it be hard to add to the .net code? Sorry for all the questions, I'm still getting accustomed to this thing.

Edit: Also, I don't really want to use the system tray component, the less things running in the systray the better. Also the method that one user posted of making shortcuts for a taskbar toolbar seems kinda kludgy and I'd prefer a more elegant solution like foo_title which I can at least park at the bottom of the screen even if it's not an actual taskbar item.

Edit2: What about a time slider?

Make your own skin... then you can make it arbitrarily small.

Is there a way to get it to show/hide the now playing? I guess I could put in a really small scrolling area...

To simply hide the now playing area, remove that layer from the skin.  If you mean a toggle between showing and hiding it, foo_title doesn't currently do that.  As for the volume, vlada has a pretty nice solution on his "shade" skin (http://www.hydrogenaudio.org/forums/index.php?s=&showtopic=46619&view=findpost&p=421475).  It's not a slider, but again, not yet possible in foo_title.

Edit2: What about a time slider?

No sliders of any kind in foo_title.  Should you need this post haste, Quiark has graciously posted the code for foo_title on SourceForge so that we all may contribute.  I have plans to do so, and sliders are very near the top on my personal wishlist.  Maybe I'll bump the priority on that a bit since it seems a popular request.

I made myself a very slim little skin...  Just for me.
It has quick button for shuffle (the round circle with the S if you didn't figure that out)and displays the info about the song...

I definately not expect anyone to like or even want this but i thought i'd show that you don't need a fancy skin for a plugin to be very useful.

i got a question here,

Code: [Select]
<layer name="trackinfo" type="scrolling-text">
        <geometry type="absolute">
            <size x="379" y="3" />
            <position x="22" y="3" align="left" />
        </geometry>
        <contents spacing="0" font="Verdana" size="9">
            <label position="left" color="ff000000">%title%

$repeat(*,%rating%)[| %tracknumber%][ | %artist%][ | %album%]</label>
        </contents>
    </layer>

this is what i use, but id like to change that scrolling text to a fixed one where the end is wrapped if the title is too large.

I tried to change to "text", but whatever size I put under <size x="379" y="3" />, the text will not be wrapped and will go on miserably on the sreen without any skin behind it....
any suggestion to fix that? thanks

Text wrapping is not supported in foo_title and overflowing is an unsolved problem. Maybe you could use some tricky formatting string to achieve what you want (using for example $iflonger, $substr and such).

Only in the text layer - like this:

Code: [Select]
<layer name="trackinfo" type="scrolling-text">
        <geometry type="absolute">
            <size x="379" y="3" />
            <position x="22" y="3" align="left" />
        </geometry>
        <contents spacing="0" font="Verdana" size="9">
            <label position="left" color="ff000000">%title% $repeat(*,%rating%)[| %tracknumber%][ | %artist%][ | %album%]</label>
        </contents>
    </layer>

Hi, Everyone.
This is my "first" post

I was been inspired by all that master piece, so I made a little skin like below...

That is a Mac-like crystal skin, but I have to admit that that skin isn't Really as same as the Mac OS.
I just design it by my poor imagination...

I made it just for fun  Download it if you like it.

I modifed the CD-Cover skin even further.

I just added some controls, cause I really wanted them.

The pic shows the play-button as mouse over.
they are usually all faded out so you can see the cover clearly.

I updated the foolbar skin (http://www.hydrogenaudio.org/forums/index.php?s=&showtopic=46619&view=findpost&p=435142) if anyone is interested.  It now shows more information and still fits nicely in the Windows XP sized title bar area.  The text displayed is different based on the playback state, check out the screenshot.  An astute reader contacted me about some changes... I made a few, but he made an alternate version that will hopefully show up here soon.  Feel free to use this as a base or make adjustments as you see fit.  Have the appropriate amount of fun!

If there is a menu entry for foo_rate, then yes.  Any menu command can be invoked by a foo_title button.

I'm considering giving a friend of mine a programming excercise - to create a program, that would take a properly layered PSD (or some other image format) file and slice it into several pngs along with the XML description of the skin. That would make it easier to create skins. This idea was inspired by Xion, which can load PSD directly.

Would you be interested in such a program ?

Hi everyone. First Post

I've been playing around with foobar for a while,but I had not registered..
I just found this component, I love it! So, I did this for myself, and thought I'd share it.

The two "foobar icons" on the left are for activating and shutting off foobar.

for some reason the minimize button only brings up the window, not minimizing it
can you make one button for play/pause?
and can you also rearrange your icons so that it goes play/pause, stop, forward, backwards? thanks!

Hi, this component is great, and there are some excellent looking skins in here, but I was wondering if anyone knew of one that has a stop after current button? Or I could try and make one, but can anyone tell me how to put one together, is there something I need to write .xml files, or will notepad do? Oh and is there a way to make a play/pause button that shows pause when something is playing, and play when it's paused or stopped? Maybe using that COM automation (http://wiki.hydrogenaudio.org/index.php?title=Foobar2000:Components_0.9/COM_Automation_Server_%28foo_comserver2%29) component??

Cheers.

Notepad is fine for XML. You can just take an existing skin and add or change an existing button - that's quite easy.

Changing the button at runtime is not currently supported, but it's rather easy to add this functionality to foo_title (it's in C# which is quite a friendly language).

Thanks, I had a look around, read the manual etc and I've made a skin, although it's not perfect. It's meant to be a kind of miniplayer/desktop widget thing. I think it suffers from it not updating on stop, so it looks pretty dodgy when you load it or sometimes when you stop playback (eg after playing an online stream). It has a play/pause button, a stop after current toggle and a progress bar/scroller for streams, which I managed to make using titleformating in the geometry parts. If anyone want to make it look more consistent I'm sure they can, I've included a play/pause button in the rar for people to use. It'll do for the moment, here it is:

(http://i19.tinypic.com/8ftynhh.png)

I included the PSDs in case people want to edit those too. Oh and I took the foobar mask thing from one of the skins in this thread, (foostick) I hope that's OK!

Another thing, it uses cwb_hooks (http://www.bazquux.com/wiki/Foobar2000:Hooks) for some of the titleformating, so some people might need that.

Cheers.

Hi, I was checking this topic and noticed some problems with the placement of the foo_title plugin and I have a different on this. I've been using a program called AutoHotKey (http://www.autohotkey.com), with it you can do some simple programming and add lots of features to your system, being one of the main ones the ability to add hotkeys to your system with almost no restrictions. And so with this little app, I have one of the side buttons of my mouse to show/hide foo_title, so there's no problem which size the skin is or where it is placed.

This is the code I use for it:

Code: [Select]
1 DetectHiddenWindows, Off
2 GroupAdd, g_foo_title, ahk_class WindowsForms10.Window.8.app.0.33c0d9d
3
4 XButton2::
5 IfWinExist ahk_group g_foo_title
6     WinHide ahk_group g_foo_title
7 else
8     WinShow ahk_group g_foo_title
9 return

Explaining the above for those that aren't so keen on this kind of stuff:

- Line 1: this option has to be turned off so that this little trick can work, so it'll be able to "hide" the foo_title window from the system;
- Line 2: creates a "group" of windows called "g_foo_title", and adds "WindowsForms10.Window.8.app.0.33c0d9d" class to it (which is the name of the class of foo_title, this name can be found with a little app that comes with AutoHotKey);
- Line 4: This tells which key (or combination) will be used to activate the code below, in my case, XButton2 refers to the 2nd side button on the mouse, a combination like "#s" can be used to represent the WinKey+S combination or "^!s" which represents "Ctrl+Alt+S";
- Line 5: It reads like, "if a window, from the "g_foo_title" group exists then";
- Line 6: this line sends a "Hide" command to the found window, and so the foo_title will not be shown;
- Line 7, 8: if it doesn't exist (even if foobar is running with foo_title, when the "hide" command is set, the it will not be found because of the turned off option on line 1), show the window belonging to the "g_foo_title", and foo_title is shown;
- Line 9: this line must be included in the end of a procedure so that it stops, or else anything below would be read too.

And so with this running in background, and foo_title set to be "Always On Top", each time I press the side button on my mouse if foo_title is being shown, it is hidden and vice-versa ^^

The documentation of this app is really great and pretty extensive with lots of details so you can learn how to do almost anything in it easily =) hope it helps.

PS: If anyone is interested in this app and need some help making it work I'll gladly give a hand on what I can ^^

I use this code to make an image move to the right as the song plays:
Code: [Select]
    <layer name="bar" type="absolute-images">
        <geometry type="absolute">
            <size x="33" y="9" />
            <position x="$add(41, $mul(4, $div($mul(%playback_time_seconds%, 94), %length_seconds%)))" y="13" align="left" />
        </geometry>
        <contents>
            <image src="tracker3.png" />
        </contents>
    </layer>

To make the skin change size you need to use the full geometry. See the documentation and the white skin which changes size as the text changes it's size.

- Line 7, 8: if it doesn't exist (even if foobar is running with foo_title, when the "hide" command is set, the it will not be found because of the turned off option on line 1), show the window belonging to the "g_foo_title", and foo_title is shown;
- Line 9: this line must be included in the end of a procedure so that it stops, or else anything below would be read too.

Do you think it is possible to have a Foobar shortcut to show/hide the foo_title ?

Yes ! Since 0.7.1 version, there is such a shortcut. Thank you !
Mmmh, the comportment is a little strange when using "Popup... only when...". But it is cool afterall.

I hope it's OK; I modified the Vista Carbon skin and I now call it Vista Carbonized. It has a toggable extra panel containing 5 stars for the guys using the plugin Playback Statistics. I've stolen (and slightly modified) the stars from the skin milkplate. Feel free to improve the look; I used only a minimal amount of time, just to get the desired functionality (with an acceptable look).
Note that I've also removed the pause button to gain a bit more space for the artist–title display.

I hope title formatting for image paths will be possible sometime because then I could make already votedsongs showing the correct star glowing.

Perhaps I will update the skin in the next days, for aesthetic reasons.

Oh and just FYI: I personally prefer the font Arial Unicode MS @ 8pt but for this release I decided to set the font to Segoe UI, just as in Scotty J's original release.

[attachment=5319:vista_carbonized.zip]
(http://www2.pic-upload.de/upload/18.08.09/t8ldir3vztgi.png)

P.S.: Just noticed I forgot the shadow for the stars… I think I'll redo the stars completely tomorrow.

Hello guys, just created a skin myself, maybe someone will like it
[attachment=5361:shade_title.png]
So, what's it got:

there supposed to be another half (button under playcoun should activate it) but I kinda like it already, that's why playcount's not a button
(sure I miss tons of statistics, album, year, but anyway...)

Shade looks kinda sleek, hope you like it. Thanks to mod author. Here's your zip already
[attachment=5362:shade.zip]

Oh, yeah: I didn't want to enhance the skin, but maybe someone will
what could you do?
clocks: with font 6 you can get secnd string there or u could simply scroll it
shufle: toggling 1,2,3 cards many modes can be enabled )
seekbar: can bring it forward and add -1 and +1 buttons on its edges - best possible for now
rating: if you can on mouseover second star the first highlight also
cd: animation to the icon can be added

(http://i37.tinypic.com/xo49xd.png)

To get the rating buttons to work, you need to have 5 Masstagger scripts: "Rating 1", "Rating 2", "Rating 3". "Rating 4", "Rating 5". If your Masstagger scripts are named differently, you don't use Masstagger or you don't want to rate songs via foo_title, feel free to edit the skin.xml file.

I've already posted its details and features elsewhere, so just click on the picture and read it if you'd like to know this better. Tell me via PM if you need it.
It features volume setting and progressbar with some seeking functionalities, so it's very useful if you need those. Also very thin, seamlessly integrates with windows 7 and vista windows!

Intended to be a foo_title window which fits inside an XP/Vista/7 Sidebar. The space allowed by the Sidebar allows album art to be displayed, along with a fair amount of real estate which comes in quite useful:
The script is a modification of Transparent by Sune, which was posted somewhere up the thread.
It contains the basic features of most scripts, volume up/down, seek forward/back, random jump, playback mode change,
and a semi-working volume adjustment button set which only changes the displayed current volume when the -XdB buttons themselves are pressed, and basic volume up/down buttons. I can't find a way for foo_title to dynamically obtain the current volume though, that would be very useful.
Also present is the X button, which deletes a track which you don't like from the playlist and moves on to the next track. It appears to be quite useful for scanning through a new album.

which one u want the one with the buttons inside or on the bottom?

i fixed some stuff in the other ones.
all text is blank when nothing's playing rather than saying foobar2000.
added a better seek bar, its funny too cuz i spent a couple hours figuring it out. i used another skin that had one and it did it a super weird way. so im like i should just use a proportion and i was going whatever over 100 and i shouldve been doing like 60 cuz thats how big percentage wise the trackbar was to the whole width. then the next day i was looking in the directions and theres the exact formula i used already made lol i was like fuuuck.
on #2 the art is no longer cut off on top

sorry for uploading so many different ones haha i probably shouldve just used it for a couple days then uploaded once i fixed everything

Ouch!, mabye someday it could be possible, thanks for your answer.

In the midtime I want to introduce the Gadget Style, which I developed once I learned from mg40 (my regards), in an attempt to integrate foo_title to my sidebar's gadgets. You can see how it looks in the snapshot.

Into his features we find:

Cover art.
Next-previous arrows.
Several buttons to open preferences, properties and search music.
A happy face to play-pause your music.
And a foobar face with vertical movement (according to the time lenght of the track) which also works as a button to restore-minimize your foobar.

..and that's all (for the time being) hope you enjot it.

Still hoping it can be helpful to someone!

Updated List of Features:

Controls box
- Small demonstrative animation; media library search; tagbox; now playing properties; time elapsed and length; codec and play counter; sample rate and channels; bitrate and codec profile; back by 5, 10 and 60 seconds; ahead by 5, 10 and 60 seconds; progress bar; volume up and volume down buttons; play random order; play default order; preferences box; open containing folder; exit button.
Information box
- Artist name; song title; album name; track number; date; genre.
Note: In the previous version I forgot to take in consideration the mp3 tags can be empty. Now, whenever the tag is empty, it will read N/A (not available) as you can see in the skin preview I carefully chosen.

Packed Player (V0.4)
Purple Bird
(The idea was to make the bird simulate the clicking of the clock beneath it…)

Packed Player (V0.5)
Dancing Girl
(A girl dancing in the background but everything works the same…)

P.S.: You can “fine-tune” the animation speed by “shifting” the Update Interval in the foo_title preferences window.

Hello

I've finished the mini series:

Greets,
SpQ

Minimalist

A very unpretentious minimalistic skin for those who do not like to complicate things.

Hello. I have created myself a foo_title skin and after much tweaking I believe it's a good time to share it with the public.

I've updated the flourish skin for foo_title 1.0.5 and foobar 1.5. As always, remember to install the included fonts to your system.

Very sorry but I missed a strange issue in my flourish skin that appeared when I updated but I didn't notice until I already posted v2. Apparently foo_title no longer allows layers whose padding contains a negative value to clip out of its boundaries, nor into a previous layers' padding. Any such geometry will become transparent. Strange, but I fixed it by rearranging the order it's loaded and giving it a positive padding value. It affected only the RATING_CD display.

Code: [Select]
			<layer name="rating" type="text">
<geometry type="full">
<padding left="16" top="2" right="0" bottom="0"/>
</geometry>
<contents spacing="0" font="Guifx v2 Transports" size="10">
<label position="left" color="88FFFFFF">$ifgreater(%rating_cd%,0,b, )</label>
</contents>
</layer>

I'll explain again the function of this layer. It shows a star if the RATING_CD tag is present. If you do not have foo_customdb component, change this to RATING. If you do not have the font installed and listen to a rated song, you'll only see the character 'b'. If you don't want an entire font as a dependency for a single character, you could change it to a unicode ★  and take font="..." out, or if you don't want rating display at all, modify or take this entire code cluster right out of the file. All up to you.
