Updated EAC with CUEtool plugin 2.1.9. Now EAC can't see CTDB in settings?

I have EAC 1.6, installed it maybe 2 weeks ago.
All was working ok-ish. but I had some small issues with CTDB so I decided to update it to latest 2.1.9.
I just overwrote the files in EAC install folder.
Now I can't see the CTDB option among metadata providers in EAC metadata settings.
I only see options freedb or Musicbrainz.

I read some issue with a 2.1.8 dll file existed before so I tried to unregister and re-register Newtonsoft.Json.dll but was unsuccessful in either operation.
"Module was read but no start address found, pls check it is a valid dll"

So, I tried installing an older 2.1.8 plugin version. Same result, can't see CTDB in settings.
I tried searching: EAC fails to detect CTDB (also have tried cuetool aswell)
What now?

I have the same problem. I had to revert to version 2.1.6 of the plug-in.

 -Ok, I'll try that for now.-

EDIT:  Well, 2.1.6.   that did not work for me at this point in time.
Now it feels like a EAC reinstall is my only option.

some suggestions (I'll run some tests tomorrow to see if I can duplicate the issue)
Don't forget to restart EAC after modifying the plugin.
Make sure the plugin is enabled: EAC > EAC Options > Audio Plugins
CUETools 2.1.7 moved to Visual Studio 2017 so the Visual C++ Redistributable may be needed on your system https://www.microsoft.com/en-ca/download/details.aspx?id=48145

You might also want to check if Windows added a block to the zip archive

.NET Framework 3.5.1(in Windows functions)  4.7.2 and 4.8 (ordinary install)

I was able to duplicate the issue on my Win7 machine by failing to unblock the zip file in Windows. After applying UNBLOCK and copying the files to the EAC folder, the CTDB plugin 2.1.9 showed up on next start. Info on unblocking in previous reply

Strangely, no plugins work for me after EAC v1.3.
With EAC v1.3 I can use v2.1.9 of the CTDB plugin with no issues. On all other versions (1.4, 1.5 and 1.6), no plugins load.

I found out what the issue was. My EAC.exe.manifest was missing
    <dependency>
      <dependentAssembly>
          <assemblyIdentity
              type="win32"
              name="PluginHandler"
              version="1.0.0.0" />
      </dependentAssembly>
    </dependency>
Now all plugins work with EAC 1.6.

Good to hear, that the CTDB.EACPlugin is working now with EAC 1.6 on your system.
Attached is the EAC.exe.manifest file (zipped), which is installed by EAC 1.6
