No Real Time Feedback for EQ or Other Components?

I get no response in real time when tweaking the EQ (or other components). If I restart the playing track, I can hear the audible change, but not in real time. Is something wrong in my setup or is that the way things work in Foobar?

You can adjust the audio buffer to something lower in Preferences > Playback > Decoding > Output > Buffer length. Just don't forget to put it back.
