Title: Ripping / Encoding using LAME on a MAC
Post by: ALiENscApE on 2012-12-09 16:20:31
Ok, so I recently switched to a mac from a PC and I've always used EAC and Foobar with LAME to encode .mp3s. I'm wondering what my options for using LAME on a mac are.  I apologize if I'm beating a dead horse here, but my search results all seemed to be from several years in the past and I wanted some present day input.  Also, any taggers comparable to mp3tag???

XLD (http://www.macupdate.com/app/mac/23430/x-lossless-decoder) is a sufficient solution, IMO. See also the wiki here on H.A. (http://wiki.hydrogenaudio.org/index.php?title=XLD)

Edit: You can also check out xACT. (http://www.macupdate.com/app/mac/14246/xact). I use both of these, for various tasks, and find them both useful.
