I've been working on improving FLACs error handling. However, in order to optimize the test suite, I was looking for some papers on what the most frequent forms are in which data loss manifests itself. Testing now works with 8KiB blocks. Hard drives work with 512byte or 4KiB, but most filesystems and RAID arrays work with much larger block and stripe sizes.

Does anybody know of any reading material on this topic?
