Title: Console sfx playback
Post by: X0R on 2010-06-29 16:40:02
Not sure, but can wavpack sfx play the files as well?

I vaguely remember it could do it, might be wrong.
I have tried to search for this information, but found nothing, please advise.

it's upx-ed self extracting archive with wav file inside
it can't be played by itself, but you can make some batch file with sox i.e. or some other command-line wav player

Thanks for the reply, maybe it was not wavpack I was using way back to do it.
maybe Ape?
What lossless encoder sfx has a built in option for console playback?

this is so strange, I vaguely but vividly remember doing just that, playing a win32 console sfx'd lossless file, but have no idea how I did it,
& now that I read your reply, I am not even sure it was wavpack
