Best settings for encoding FLAC to OPUS using opusenc

I am planning to encode my FLAC music collection to Opus to save some disk space using opusenc on linux.

Can someone suggest what would be best configuration settings to use for encoding?

I recommend ffmpeg since it can encode to multiple formats. With that in mind I recommend that since you are in Linux you do if you are in Debian based distros to install some packages:

sudo apt install ffmpeg parallel

then in the terminal type

touch opus.sh
chmod +x opus.sh
nano opus.sh

and copy these settings

parallel ffmpeg -i {} -vn -c:a libopus -b:a 80k -vbr on {.}.opus ::: ./*.flac

you can change the bitrate to say 128k or whatever you like.
