Is there a way to mute music player when playing a Youtube video?

I posted that question on SuperUser before, but let me rephrase it ...

I usually play my audio using foobar2000 (which is the most awesome player for Windows, BTW), and to avoid weird sounds playing, I usually mute (using a keyboard shortcut) foobar to let youtube video or soundcloud audio to be ok. But I find that cumbersome and not really efficient.

I would gladly prefer to have foobar2000 auto-mute when audio coming from a selected set of other programs is played.

So ...
is there a plugin for that ? or a config ? or ... something ?
