Hi! I was using a really old version (3.2.something). I just upgraded to latest and everything's cool, but I wish that the ability to change wallpaper opacity wasn't removed from JSPlaylist. I understand it was "breaking some things", but I had mine set at the highest and I was looking good. Is there a way to access and change the value for JSPlaylist's custom wallpaper opacity? I peeped through the code real quick but I couldn't find the magic number.

FLAC / Re: Multithreading

Built a static Linux 64-bit binary using libFLAC git-31ccd3df.   Targeted for AVX2 capable CPUs.  Also tried my hand at a static Win64 build.

Dear @Replica9000, if possible, consider building a Windows version without the need for AVX instructions.

My test setup is Win 7 x64 in a VM, so I'm not sure how well these perform on real hardware.  I included 32-bit and 64-bit, with an asm/noasm version of each.  On my Linux PC, the no asm builds perform faster for 16-bit files, but the opposite seemed to be the case in the VM.  Flaccid only supports 16-bit, but the couple 24-bit files I tried encoded fine.

Hi @pqyt

thank you for your awesome plugin. I have a newbie question, I have installed v0.7.6.2 (Foobar2000 v2.1.4 32bit), if I set the Frame Counter on and at the same time I try to change the Refresh Rate Limit to 100Hz or 200Hz the counter always shows about 60 fps. My monitor refresh rate is 144Hz (correctly set in Windows display options). Is the bar animation always capped to about 60 fps maximum ? Thank you in advance

Ogg Vorbis - Tech / Re: Vorbis 1.3.7 aoTuV and Lancer patches

The follow-up question related to my bug report about Lancer mod hosted on RareWares.

I am confused by the size of out.original.generic.ogg (46 825 bytes). It was produced by Oggenc2.88 hosted on RareWares as well. Of course, different builds may have different relations with mathematics (the notorious floating point), which I have witnessed more than once during the ongoing revival of Helix MP3 encoder. But is it okay to get the difference of 5 kilobytes between the results of x86 and x64 builds of the same audio encoder codebase?

To compare: the difference between the results of Aoyumi own builds (so-called Venc) is only 4 bytes, the difference between the results of reference Vorbis builds (not presented in the table above) compiled by Chocobo is 2 bytes, and there is no difference at all between the results of FFMPEG x86 and x64 (builds by AnimMouse and Nanake).

Scientific Discussion / Re: SuperFast LAME multi-threaded MP3 encoder
Last post by Kraeved -
This topic didn't get much attention, and the Github repository was archived on December 11, 2020. Why, @enzo?

As far as I understand, MP3 format, due to its design (the notorious reservoir of bits), does not favor multicore encoding, but you, describing the technical details, stated that it was possible without loss of quality. I encoded two WAV PCM files (44.1 kHz 16 bit stereo and 11025 Hz 16 bit mono) using SuperLame as follows: freaccmd.exe in.wav -e superlame.

The latter one failed.

Okay, have not managed to get the auto download of images to work, but I have been using 'Album Art Downloader' to update all my album art and extra art recently. It got me thinking that I should just set the Artist image view to custom load folder to my music collection so it just shows the art I have been downloading.. Sorry for the stupid question but im just unsure how to set that correctly so that it just looks in my local collection which is organized as: G:\Music\Artist\Album
Greatly appreciate the help again and excuse me if this is confusing, truly new to all of this but learning lots on the way!
