Playback order defaults to shuffle (tracks) after restart

Playback order defaults to Shuffle (tracks) despite of the user selected playback order settings after foobar2000 1.2.4 beta 3 restart.

Playback order defaults to shuffle (tracks) after restart

Can't see such thing happening with fresh install or my old install. Perhaps a third party component is responsible?

Did some more testing and it happens only when you change playback order while foobar2000 is playing music and then close the application. At this point when you start foobar2000 it will default to the previous playback order.

Playback order defaults to shuffle (tracks) after restart

At least I can't replicate conditions that cause this. No matter how quick I close foobar after playback order is changed the new setting is saved and active after start.

bukem,

your foo_playlist_attributes settings may be responsible.

Check them in File/Preferences/Tools/Playlist attributes: Playback order and in Edit/Playlist attributes: Playback order.
This is HA. Not the Jerry Springer Show.

I'd assume what Robertina suggested (upon viewing the components list).

As for this:
Did some more testing and it happens only when you change playback order while foobar2000 is playing music and then close the application. At this point when you start foobar2000 it will default to the previous playback order.

If you change the playback order while a track is playing, the new setting doesn't take effect until that track has finished playing (or you manually select another track for playback, e.g. Next, etc). Closing foobar before that happens is why it reverts to the previous playback order.

That was it! Thanks a lot. Have disabled foo_playlist_attributes and the problem is gone. Strange enough the playback order was set to global for all playlists in the foo_playlist_attributes, so I was not changing the default playback order.

Well it looks like I can change the playback order while track is playing and it is preserved as soon as I have removed the foo_playlist_attributes plugin. Anyway thanks for the help!
