Title: FLAC (and ALAC) 24 bit and 96kHz: How to?
Post by: Antigen on 2011-03-13 13:27:12
Hi to all,

I have see that some website sell FLAC (and ALAC) 24 bit at 96 kHz and 192 kHz.

My question is:

- how I can do a RIP of a CD to 24 BIT and 96 kHz or 192 kHz?

I have see that on iTunes don't exist a "bit selection" and it don't exist on EAC or dbPower.

I know that CD are 44kHz and 16, but If a person want to rip at 24 bit?

I have see that only AIFF support 24 bit and different frequency.

Thanks!

To rip a CD to anything other than 16-bit / 44.1kHz is a transcode, not a lossless rip.
