another question:
i use multivalue field for artist (for example: "elton john; george michael")
if i have a pic in artist pic "elton john, george michael.jpg" it will be display....
but if i have only a photo by "elton john.jpg", can i display "elton john.jpg" when "elton john; george micheal" is playing?
in my old panels ui config with album art panel with this source worked fine: "Artists/$substr(%artist%,0,$sub($strrchr(%artist%,','),1) ).jpg", but that doesn't work in extended variables...

any idea???

I appreciate your hard work, really, but I noticed this bug two times again.
Maybe it is not a code problem ? maybe foobar versions or operating systems, some components maybe... you know it much better I think
If you have any suggestions about components etc. incompatibility I would offer to everyone, who has this bug, show version of comp. etc., if needed of course, maybe we will find some regularity.
Anyway, this bug don`t make me inconvenience anymore, because it appear very rarely.

i really think that is a Vista problem with PSS, coz all people that have reported this to me are under Vista ... is someone with this bug under XP ?

If you don't use foo_exvar for cover art (because file already named folder.jpg and are stored in music folder), try to enter this and see if it fix the problem (maybe ...) :

kameleon_coverart_path = default
kameleon_coverart_filname = folder.jpg

After some tries, I can say that it still happens. I'm running Vista SP1, foobar 0.9.6.3 beta 1, and Kameleon 1.0c2.
It doesn't happen everytime though, I have to restart foobar a couple of time before seeing the effect.

Entering:

kameleon_coverart_path = default
kameleon_coverart_filename = folder.jpg

This still allows the bug to happen. It occurs about once every 10 or 15 foobar restarts and is fairly random.

All of the plugins I listed here

are the latest as of 2/17/2009 and work perfectly under Windows Vista.

The ones provided by Br3tt are also compatible, except foo_skip.dll in an early revision of Kameleon, which should have been replaced by http://www.saunalahti.fi/~cse/foobar2000/foo_skip.zip by now.

Bug still there.

Just wanna show you some details:





Small arrows in first pictures are missing (red ovals)
Jewel case seem to be smaller in first picture and drifted to left.

Hope that helps.

The same happens with my bug. In fact, the jewel cases shift identically, and the covers contract just the same. So, while the bug is random, the effects are pretty predictable, which might lead to some way to fix it. Who knows?

This post may have gotten lost in the shuffle of sorting out the album art scaling issue, so here goes again... any help is much appreciated!
  • Quick question on Chronflow - is there any way to get it to display the first JPG it finds in an album folder to use for album artwork, i.e. *.jpg? I have this working well for all other album art splitters in Kameleon except Chronflow... if anyone knows how to get this working it would make my day!
  • Also, I recently installed the foo_discogs component and am having trouble downloading artist/album artwork. When I use the context menu on a track or album, the "Update Album/Artist Art" command is always grayed out... in the foo_discogs Configuration > Album/artist art tab, I have "Fetch" checked for both Album & Artist artwork, as well as "Fetch all available art" yet no artwork is being downloaded. I have tried using the "Write tags" command (the only one not grayed out besides "Configure tag mappings" and "configuration") and the album artwork is indeed present in the preview page - I just don't see how to download it to the album folder! What am I missing? Any help is much appreciated - thanks again!
  • Does anyone have a favorite Album Art Downloader? I have been using Album Art Downloader XUI v0.24 which seems to work great, but is there something even better out there (preferably a Foobar component so I can download art while listening to an album)?

Hi Br3tt !

I think, one of a solution  would be replacing cd cover code from Curacao config, because I have never seen this liitle bug in Curacao before.
I guess it is not so important to see cover inside of CD case or without this one  The special version for Vista users f.e..... before you self will return to Vista

It is impossible as I know, you can only add variables like
$replace(%path%,%filename_ext%,)cover.jpg
$replace(%path%,%filename_ext%,)front.jpg
$replace(%path%,%filename_ext%,)cd.jpg
$replace(%path%,%filename_ext%,)back.jpg
$replace(%path%,%filename_ext%,)%album%.jpg
... and any possible names of covers you have
The simpliest  way is using constant name of covers or use programs for grouping file rename if you have so huge music collection.

You are wrong here.
The possible option is CD Art Display, except latest beta is buggy for me. it is standalone, but integrates into foobar via component.

The "title"-info will promptlydisappear. While playing a song the first time, this happens even within listening to it.

What should i do? Remove play_counter?

which components are you using to save stats ?

- Playback Custom Statistics or Play counter (official stats plugin)

PCS store stats info in the music file TAGs
PC store them in a database and do not affect the music file

go to Prefs --> Tools ---> ...

and be sure you have set them the way you want

Ok, I couldn't wait any longer, so I added Playlist switcher and Album list to the left panel myself. It works the same as in Curacao, without covering parts of ELPlaylist.


Br3tt, if you are interested, I could send it to you and you could incorporate it in further versions.

OFF TOPIC, ELPlaylist topic recommended for this. btw here is some help :

right click ion ELPlaylist -> Settings

then

1.modify the default group by order and/or the default sort order

OR

2.add an alternative sort order that you can use by right click contect menu
