Columns UI: can't start playback by hitting enter key

In beta 3 & 4 doesn't work selecting track using keyboard and playing it by hiting enter key. Using CUI (not certain it belongs to this thread, but problem started in this betas and before it was OK, so my conclusion is that it belongs here).

Doesn't work either. Besides, I cannot assign play action to enter key (i.e. it's feasible but hitting enter still doesn't work)

EDIT: I've just noticed (trying old playlist view) that enter works on any autoplaylist (either last.fm plugin or createt by me) but still doesnt work on static playlists (yes - items on this playlist point to existing files and double click works ok)

Well, it works here.

Make sure Enter is not assigned to any keyboard shortcut. Otherwise try a new portable install to test.

I've played some more with the problem and here is what i got:
- enter isn't assosiated with anything; removing all shortcuts doesn't work;
- when downgraded to b3, b2, latest stable it either didn't work or worked only in specyfic cases (e.g. only in autoplaylist with old playlist view)
- on fresh, portable instalation it works OK; it still works with full set of components & my old layout imported;
- overriding portable configuration file with my old cfg file brings problem back;

in conclusion - there must be some problem in cfg file (some settings or old plugins persists or something). Sometimes, when deleting plugins I didn't remove it's settings and doing it now is imposible due to the fact I don't remeber which plugins settings were saved.
Now is my suggestion/idea/question - would it be possible to add plugin/button which would purge cfg file from old configurations doesn't needed by current instalation and set of components?

Problem solved! … in a way. Having Album List in a Tabbed Panel Stack caused trouble. bug?

Anyhow - I've got brand new cfg file with almost everything I could get from old one (only playback time statistic is missing  ) and... its 23K lighter! (105KB - old to 82KB - new), so my previous suggestion to add purging button is still actual

Yes, the third party Tabbed Panel Stack eats Enter presses. Use the built-in one.

OK, built-in one doesn't cause problems with enter, but there's another - when starting foobar2k the first tab is selected (ng playlist) but the contents is from another tab (3rd tab - lyrics show). Earlier (before removing it) first to show was spectrum... Besides sturtup glitch, sometimes when switching to ng-playlist tab (from album list for example) I get lyrics show content and only solution is to switch to lyrics show tab and then to ng playlist tab…

It seems lyrics show panel also has bugs then. You can throw this at the developer of any panel that does that.

(bad English but meh no excuse).

It would be problematic with some plugins (lyrics_panel isn't developed anymore best to my knowledge  ). Isn't there any possible way to force them hidden unless explicitly selected?

EDIT: Besides previously used tab component didn't has this problem, so in my tiny, simple mind this is somehow doable

PS. Sorry for the language…

I can force them hidden on start-up (OK I will probably do this), but the other problem is panels that decide to make themselves visible whenever they please. It won't help with that.

The other component got around that by setting the width and height of inactive panels to 0. I am not going to do that.
