FLAC Front end not working standalone

I am using the FLAC 1.2.1b with EAC and all is working well in Vista Ulimate  However, when using the app standalone it doesn't seem to work.  Selecting a wav file and then 'encode' results in a brief flash of a command screen (to fast to read) and that it.

Can you advise please

Do you have the "Tag files" box ticked? I get Tag.exe is not recognised as an executable blah blah. deselect the tags box and everything should work ok.
