Title: AccurateRip: Not a correct gapless rip
Post by: Dario on 2012-02-25 14:48:26
Hello there.

I downloaded 2 albums from a Bandcamp page (http://consecration.bandcamp.com/) in FLAC and ran an AccurateRip check on them using foobar2000. I know that it makes no sense to do so, because the songs are not ripped from a CD (as a matter of fact, I ran the test completely by mistake), but what got my attention is that fact that instead of the usual "no such disk found in the database" I got a "not a correct gapless rip" message. So, I'd like to ask—what does that mean?

Thank you.

This likely has nothing to do with AccurateRip and everything to do with foobar2000.

My guess is that the tracks aren't multiples of 588 samples, as required by the CD-DA specs?
