Uuum, Windows 11 64bit complains that it's unsupported 16 bit application; what's more, all amd64 apps don't have .exe extension. What did you do? :)

These binaries are for Linux.  They won't work on Windows.

I noticed that many recent git updates have have not been built/provided here, especially for Windows. Not trying to sound ungrateful or anything :) I think I would like to try today’s (Oct. 28th) version.
Is there a guide someone can link to that can help explain to the noobs here (me included) in the simplest terms possible, exactly how to go from GitHub to a working executable much like the ones many of you have provided here? It would help us be less dependent - or even give others a chance to upload working exe’s for newer builds and lighten the load on other folks

Media Autobuild Suite. It can compile many things, including FLAC.

Thank you for this, I still have no real idea what I’m doing but at least it’s a nice pointer in the right direction!

Assuming you mean encoding speed have you tried enabling multithreading?
