Can't have more than one audio source on bluetooth headphones

When I play something in foobar it mutes all other audio sources (such as browser or games). As soon as I pause music in foobar audio from other sources resumes. When I unpause foobar it mutes other audio again.

I didn't have this issue with other audio devices and with other apps. This problem seems to be exclusive for foobar and bluetooth headphones. I can hear game sounds while listening to music from chrome/youtube, but not from foobar - foobar cancels out all other audio completely while I'm on my headphones.

foobar version: 1.6.4
headphones: Philips SHB3060

edit: actually it works when I change foobar's and other apps audio output from Default to Headphones in Windows' Sound Mixer, strange.
