I want to reduce the vertical size of UI Elements. Please help me

I searched hard for a way, but couldn't find it.

I'm currently using "Slim View + Tabs" in "Quick Set-Up".
How do I adjust the size of the UI Elements "Waveform Seekbar"?
(I don't know if it's correct to call it a splitter.)

I want to reduce the vertical size.
I have marked the attached image file in red for better understanding.

Please help me..

The height of that pane might be locked...

In the top menu, goto View -> Layout -> Enable layout editing mode

Then you have to right-click exactly on the splitting line, so that both panes get highlighted in blue and in the popup menu, deselect "Lock height" (see attached screenshot)

If only one of the panes gets hightlighted, you missed the line.
Just try again, until both panes get highlighted.
