OS is linux, I rip with cdparanoia.
using the utility cd-info, my drive is a BDDVDRW UH12NS29
According to http://www.accuraterip.com/driveoffsets.htm (http://www.accuraterip.com/driveoffsets.htm) that gives me an offset of +667
Am I correct that this means I should rip with a -O 667 switch to cdparania, despite SCSI errors thrown at the end?
second - with a disc in the drive, cd-info gives me the following:
CD-ROM Track List (1 - 8)
#: MSF LSN Type Green? Copy? Channels Premphasis?
1: 00:02:00 000000 audio false no 2 no
2: 04:28:17 019967 audio false no 2 no
3: 07:56:42 035592 audio false no 2 no
4: 11:01:17 049442 audio false no 2 no
5: 19:41:02 088427 audio false no 2 no
6: 23:03:17 103592 audio false no 2 no
7: 26:08:20 117470 audio false no 2 no
8: 31:08:57 140007 audio false no 2 no
170: 37:55:15 170490 leadout (382 MB raw, 382 MB formatted)
However if I rip to a single file and use those times for a cue sheet, it's 2 seconds off.
Is there a reason why it does that?
Should I just expect to always need to subtract the MSF value of the first audio track from all the tracks to get valid starting point, or am I not understanding something?
Thanks
Well with several CDs now when I subtract the first MM:SS:NN from all the start positions, it is correct cue points - so I guess that is answered.
