You mean the whole playlist/quicksearch panel? I guess that would significantly streamline usage for people that navigate through their library that way. =) Let's hope our lobbying does not fall on deaf ears. Br3tt's got a lot of requests, though...We'll see.

All,

Maybe it's just me and this is REAL basic... Doesn't apply to Br3tt specifically...

When I go back into tag and rename after playing songs my tags are all messed up.

How do you use the "play count" and "ratings" without foobar messing up your tags? I find myself disabling these things because it wipes out hours of hard work.  Do you folks edit the way your tags are updated within foobar? Thoughts?

That is mostly caused by some dll files. You can try to delete all your dll files and just use the components given by Br3tt.

Amazing config - thanks!!

Quick question on Chronflow - is there any way to get it to display the first JPG it finds in an album folder to use for album artwork, i.e. *.jpg? I have this working well for all other album art splitters except Chronflow... if anyone knows how to get this working it would make my day!

Also, I recently installed the foo_discogs component and am having trouble downloading artist/album artwork. When I use the context menu on a track or album, the "Update Album/Artist Art" command is always grayed out... in the foo_discogs Configuration > Album/artist art tab, I have "Fetch" checked for both Album & Artist artwork, as well as "Fetch all available art" yet no artwork is being downloaded. I have tried using the "Write tags" command (the only one not grayed out besides "Configure tag mappings" and "configuration") and the album artwork is indeed present in the preview page - I just have no way to download it to the album folder! What am I missing? Any help is much appreciated - thanks again!

Not sure if this helps - but it seems that once I added the Artist Artwork variables to Extended Variables, I started experiencing this same scaling issue w/Album artwork in the main lefthand splitter. I added these 2 lines to Extended Variables:

kameleon_artistart_path - N:/Music/---- Artist Art ----/
kameleon_artistart_filename - %artist%.jpg

Restarted foobar and while the Artist Artwork now worked fine, the album artwork had the scaling issue several people have previously mentioned. So I removed these 2 lines from exvar, restarted foobar, and the issue went away... hope this helps in some way to track down the issue.

2 pages back i asked


For example. if an artist name contains a / , let's say Ac/dc then i use this variable to search for the cover

How can I convert my ibiza/curacao line to work with kameleon?

it worked in Curaçao, but then again, extended variable wasn't in use then...... can i in some way, get this to work in kameleon

nice config really! I finally decided to change my old one, as it is based on panels ui, and new foobar versions have so many tasty features

Now I'm trying to figure out all those new plugins, have some troubles

1. Where is chronoflow part in Kameleon? I removed it, and it seems ok... (it annoyed me with error message on the start, and do not have priviledges to update graphics card drivers).

2. Can I have 3 configs (Kameleon, Curacao and Ibiza) simultaneously and switch them on-the-fly in Preferences? Now when I import a config, all others disappear

3. Besides, I have noticed a strange glitch:


The now playing text is too large (I had to reduce it from 19 to 6!). It might be due to 120DPI settings for my computer, however, I hope it helps someone.

I guess we're in the same boat.  I wrote about it on page 2. Well, the thread is growing really fast!
I tried to do something myself, but the code for this is a lot more complex than in earlier configs. All those panels are closely connected to each other, to ELPlaylist and even some kind of check is performed. Anyway, a lot of code would have to be re-written. If you have the time, Br3tt... I would appreciate it

I think i have found a new Benchmark for my PC! 

And it takes 120 mb ram!

That really SUX!

Still happening on about 1 out of 15 restarts with 1.0c2.

But, RAM memory usage went down about 10-15mb, and I was pleased about that.

Note: I do not use exvars for my album art.

I appreciate your hard work, really, but I noticed this bug two times again.
Maybe it is not a code problem ? maybe foobar versions or operating systems, some components maybe... you know it much better I think
If you have any suggestions about components etc. incompatibility I would offer to everyone, who has this bug, show version of comp. etc., if needed of course, maybe we will find some regularity.
Anyway, this bug don`t make me inconvenience anymore, because it appear very rarely.

problem is elsewhere, i have the same CPU and when no scroll, i'm under 2%, when scrolling, near 20%

about memory usage, it depends of the playlist size and library size. HERE, i'm near 65000 Kb with a library ~28000 tracks

very very very weird, maybe a Vista issue with Panel Stack Splitter, i'm under XP P3, and it never happens.

Hey, Br3tt! I'm not one for nitpicking, and this is not a behavior I really care about, but the interface moves down about 1 pixel when I click the aliencat.

How annoying, it never once cropped up during Beta testing but I am XP SP3 too, although I was also running it on Windows 7 on and off with no problems

just try, it should work


i tried in extended variables: kameleon_artistart_path = %FOOBAR_PATH%/artists
but it doesn't work!
