EAC overtaken by file explorer, CD's being ejected?

Hi All,  I'm a noob just installed EAC and tried using it to rip audio CD's to MP3 file format.

PC is running Windows 10

The problem I'm having is that when I put in the CD and close the CD drawer, it then triggers windows file explorer to open up, and if I don't quickly flip back to the EAC window and hit the CMP button on the left side to start the compression, the windows file explorer opens the drawer to eject the CD.....

If I'm quick enough to hit the CMP button, the conversion from the CD WAV files to MP3 files proceeds. Then a small error window from file explorer opens up, saying it had an error in trying to eject the CD ( because EAC has the drive locked closed during the compression )

Not sure how to fix this....

Windows Settings > Devices > AutoPlay > Removable drive
I have mine set to 'Take no action' but 'Ask me every time' would work also.

You can fine-tune the settings in Control Panel\Hardware and Sound\AutoPlay
