Music samples before the PC sound card

I remember music samples played on the 8088 PC through a pin of its 8253 timer, but I sure the pin was addressed directly as a 1 bit PDM and not in timer mode. On sample was a song about "mushrooms" and the other about "flagrance". Maybe an old ads, it sounded like the ones in The Who Sell Out.



I'd like to listen those samples again :D  Anyone remember their names or from where it was extracted ?
