WavPack support in ImgBurn 2.4.1.0

Thank you.
I'll quote the WavPack hi-lights from your change log:
  • Added: Support for burning APE/FLAC/WV files with an embedded CUE sheet as if they were normal image files.
  • Added: Support for 'WavePack' files (*.wv) in the 'Create CD CUE File' window.
In theory, there is no difference between theory and practice. In practice there is.

Yes, DC, thanks for this!

I will have to play around with ImgBurn a little and add it to the list of WavPack supported apps (it looks pretty nice).

It looks like some people are having trouble with this over on the Reaper forums. Has anyone else seen this (I haven't had a chance to try it yet):

Hi,

FWIW, I got that same error message as in the thread you linked to.
Also had other errors while testing, and in the only Wavpack burn that completed successfully there was a dropout (a few seconds silence) near the beginning of the first track on playback (lucky I'm using cd-rw's for testing).

It made me wonder if the DS filter could be buggy, since similar tests with flac files were okay.

I wasn't a fan of decoding and burning on-the-fly before this, and now will probably just decode to wav first in the future, for peace of mind. Otherwise I like ImgBurn.

Version 2.4.2.0 is out and it includes the following fix:
Code: [Select]
Fixed: WavPack files were not being decoded during burning, they were being read as if they were PCM/RAW audio files.
WavPack 5.6.0 -b384hx6cmv / qaac64 2.80 -V 100

Are there any plans to rip straight to Wavpack + cue?  And does the ImgBurn audio ripping engine compare to EAC in accuracy?
