Large WavPack File

Hi, I have a really simple question but I am totally new to Wavpack.

I downloaded a music file and unpacked it using WvUnpack; however, the file is 1 single file and like 80 minutes long with continuous songs. How do I unpack the file so that all of the songs are split up like they normally should be (4 or 5 min each) ?

Please use sensible topic titles in future.  I have amended this one for you.

You need a cuesheet.  It is possible that it is embedded in the file using an APEv2 tag called CUESHEET, or it's possible it is a separate file that you also need to download.  We are talking legal downloads, right?

Yes of course it is legal. It has a cuesheet in the folder along with the .wv file. I'm just unsure of how to actually get the wvunpack command to split the file.

foobar is the easiest option to split into tracks.  A command line option is ACDIR.

If you just want to burn to audio CD then Burrrn will burn straight from the WavPack file with cuesheet; just drag the cuesheet onto the dialogue.

In all cases make sure the cuesheet and file are in the same folder, open the cuesheet in Notepad and ensure that the FILE command looks like:

FILE "<name>.wv" WAVE
